Washington Commanders vs Philadelphia Eagles – one team goes to the Super Bowl. But what makes a game great are the players. And when you see a Jalen Hurts Vs Jayden Daniels showdown, you know you are in for a treat. Will Commander’s rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels casually walk into a Super Bowl Championship? Or will Eagles QB Jalen Hurts win the bragging rights in this mega-blockbuster of a game?

Well, according to Eagles coach Nick Sirianni, having Jayden Daniels in the opposite camp doesn’t change anything for Jalen. When asked in a press conference if the presence of Jayden Daniels will give Jalen extra incentive to perform better, Sirianni said Jalen always plays the same way: “He’s consistent and he is the same guy all the time, and no matter who we are playing, when we’re playing, practice games.”
Continuing, the Eagles coach shared how Jalen is a proper professional who puts in the work needed to be a winner: “He loves football, he loves the process that it takes, he loves the weight room … Jalen’s pretty stoic.” Yeah, those are the traits of a champion.

But what makes the Jayden Daniels vs Jalen Hurts clash so special is their similarity in their approach to a game, and even Sirianni sees it. According to the 43-year-old, both Jayden and Jalen are calm and cool in a similar way. He thinks it allows Jalen to focus on winning games and go about his business with little pressure.
Sirianni is clearly sending out the message that Jalen is unperturbed by the Jayden Daniels noise. But despite the confidence shown by Sirianni, the threat of Daniels is real, at least as per his former coach.

Fade Jayden Daniels at your own peril
Herm Edwards, now an ESPN analyst, coached Jayden Daniels at Arizona State University between 2019 and 2021. Knowing the young QB first-hand, he has some important strategic advice for the Philadelphia Eagles. Appearing on The Adam Schefter Podcast, Edwards said, “I do know this: do not, do not let it be close in the fourth quarter and you give him (Jayden Daniels) the ball.”

Edwards recalled how in the first playoff game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he foresaw the same thing happening: “I said, if the game’s close, and he gets the ball at the end, he’s gonna get you. He got it at the end. That’s it. He’s gonna win this game.” It makes Jayden Daniels such a clutch player, doesn’t it? Philadelphia better put some respect on Daniels’ name. He may be a rookie, but his stats say anything but a rookie.
He now has the most offensive yards for any rookie in the NFL ever. He even leads the team in rushing with 891 yards on the ground with 6 touchdowns. Throwing only 9 interceptions and 31 touchdowns in total, 24-year-old rookie Jayden Daniels is spearheading the Commanders‘ dreams. And what if he goes all the way? No rookie QB has won a Super Bowl ever. Well, history is meant to be rewritten.

The Commanders-Eagles match is a tantalizing setup, more so for being a divisional rivalry. Jayden Daniels is standing on the edge of eternal glory. And being him, he is probably absolutely unfazed by it. The man is ice. But his opposite number is no joke either. If anything, if things stay tight, count on either of them to be THE difference makers.
