Not Planning to Retire, Odell Beckham Jr. Receives Terrible Off-Season Update From the Ravens

Louisiana-born Odell Beckham Jr. has clarified his intentions of still contributing to the game. But in a piece of shocking news, his current employers, the Baltimore Ravens, do not seem interested in re-signing the superstar. What is next for the wide receiver?

With the free agency window fast approaching, Beckham Jr. was considered to be re-signed by the Ravens soon. But that hasn’t happened and as per fresh reports, the Ravens do not plan to do so. Amidst this, Beckham Jr. has denied any rumors of considering retirement!

Drafted by the New York Giants in the first round at the 2014 NFL Draft. Beckham Jr. has wowed his teammates and foes alike. However, multiple ACL injuries and a dip in form had many thinking about the former Super Bowl winner with the Los Angeles Rams’ retirement. Beckham Jr., however, does not agree!

“Regardless of anybody’s opinion or anything like that…  is that I know that I can still play”, said the 3X Pro Bowler. With free agency knocking on the door, there were hopes that the Ravens would re-sign him after this powerful statement.

However, the reports coming out are contradictory. And with the free agency window starting in a week, these reports seem credible. In such a situation, Beckham Jr. will be looking to join the roster of some other franchise. But that won’t be as easy too!

After being traded by the Giants to the Cleveland Browns in 2018, Beckham Jr. suffered two major ACL injuries. These have forced him out of two teams as well. And he became a free agent in 2023 as well. This is when the Ravens signed the WR to a one-year contract.

However, Beckham Jr.’s form did not improve, and he started merely six games for the Baltimore team. His stock is falling and with another free agency in the books, the LSU graduate is in for a tough time dealing with the free agency market!
