Forget the gridiron; future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers is trading Hail Marys for high fives, coaching young gunslinger Brady Smigiel at a training spot right by his old high school. It’s a clear touchdown for the next generation of football!

Back in the day, Rodgers himself dreamt of rocking the garnet and gold for FSU, but life throws interceptions sometimes (you know, a missed field goal, not a pick-six). After a detour through junior college, he ended up a Green Bay legend and is now a New York Jet. Talk about a better plot twist!

Meanwhile, California standout QB Brady Smigiel, with a legit cannon for an arm, just pledged to FSU’s 2026 class. Without a shadow’s doubt, this guy’s a top prospect! He tore through defenses like a runaway train. Last season alone, he racked up 4,222 yards and 52 TDs—MVP-caliber play, for sure! Guess Smigiel’s about to be a game-changer for Coach Norvell’s Seminoles.

With the Jets’ QB A-Rod coaching Smigiel at Proactive Sports Performance, it’s kind of a win-win. As Rodgers guides Smigiel towards collegiate greatness, we’re going to have fun watching a lockdown corner snag an interception in the end zone—pure defensive dominance, but here, it’s about learning, not touchdowns.

Even with Rodgers sidelined due to a recent leg injury during the Jets’ season opener, his impact on the game is huge. Football, like life, is a roller coaster; A-Rod and Smigiel are showing us what resilience, adaptability, and an unyielding drive for greatness look like. Their teamwork blends mentorship and raw talent, all fueled by a passion to shine on-field.

While future Seminole’s QB draws up for pure magic on the gridiron, the Jets’ gunslinger isn’t holding back on his thoughts either.

Aaron Rodgers throws shade on college football playoff picks

Looks like Jets star QB Rodgers ain’t just missing game action—he’s still salty about his dream school getting snubbed from the College Football Playoff. The 4-time NFL MVP, who once dreamed of playing for Florida State under coach Bobby Bowden, went on record saying the undefeated Seminoles were wrongfully excluded.

“That was my team growing up,” A-Rod revealed on The Pat McAfee Show, clearly still a die-hard Seminole faithful. He added, “I think they [FSU] should have gotten in [the playoffs] over Texas.” Ouch, that’s gotta sting for Longhorn fans.

Here’s the kicker: despite a perfect record, Florida State got passed over by both one-loss Alabama and Texas in the final CFP rankings. The Seminoles, even after winning the ACC Championship with their third-string QB, had to settle for the Orange Bowl. Talk about a bitter pill to swallow.

This isn’t the first time Rodgers has spoken about his Seminole dreams. He previously told ESPN he longed to play for Bowden, but major programs overlooked him. Instead, he carved his path through a junior college in Oregon before becoming a star at Cal and eventually a first-round NFL draft pick.

While Rodgers tends to his injury and prepares for his upcoming Jets game, the sting of the FSU snub clearly lingers. With Florida Governor Ron DeSantis setting aside a cool million for potential “litigation expenses,” this story might not be over just yet.
