Remember how, a year ago, all eyes were on Russell Wilson and his singer-songwriter wife as they walked into the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party? Glamorous and daring. That’s what Ciara Wilson’s dress was. She wore a sheer halter gown from Dundas’ 2023 Fall collection “embellished in crystals and layered over a matching innerwear.” But with that bold statement came a barrage of criticism. And, well, Ciara responded, giving a sneak peek into what her 2024 outfit would’ve been. But did she see it through (no pun intended) this year?

In a TikTok video she posted after the wave of backlash, Ciara pretended to walk on a red carpet wearing a white sheet covering her entire body. She wrote, “POV: How I’m pulling up to Vanity Fair next year,” captioning the post, “Selective outrage.” However, the singer-songwriter didn’t really stick to plan at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party…

Ciara and Russell Wilson hit the headlines with glamor and a new deal. On Sunday night, the quarterback announced his new spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers by dropping a teaser video, which Ciara later shared with yellow and black hearts. A few hours after announcing the quarterback’s new one-year, $1.2 million deal, the couple arrived at the 96th Academy Awards. And this time again, their red carpet look became the talk of the town.

Unlike what she claimed after her 2023 Vanity Fair Oscar Party appearance, Ciara dazzled in a slightly sheer brown-colored, figure-hugging gown that flared at the bottom alongside her husband and Steelers’ new QB. Russell was donning a white suit paired with funky glasses and white loafers. As the couple posed in front of the paparazzi, while some loved their outfits, others didn’t appreciate them as much (just like in 2023).

However, that didn’t stop the power couple from enjoying their night. The glamourous after-party became the go-to Sunday night place after the Jimmy Kimmel-hosted ceremony. This also marked the completion of three decades of Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar night bash. Celebrities like Billie Eilish, John Batiste, Sydney Sweeney, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, and Usher were just a few of the many stars in attendance.

Coming back to the Wilson couple, the duo was captured in a mega-watt smile, and why not? Russell Wilson, who had a roller-coaster season in Denver, finally stamped a one-year team-friendly deal with the Steelers.

Russell Wilson showed no mercy to the Broncos

Since suffering a high-ankle injury back in December, Kenny Pickett hasn’t been on the field for the Steelers. In the meantime, the Steelers chose Russell Wilson as their starter, believing in him and his Seahawks experience. In this agreement, the Broncos will cover the majority of his 2024 salary, thanks to favorable terms of the deal.

The Broncos had hoped that another team might share the salary burden, but the arrangement did not give much incentive to Wilson or the Steelers to pursue that. Ultimately, the athlete will wear the Steelers’ black and yellow, playing under Mike Tomlin, with the Broncos covering $38 million of his salary.

This move also implies that the Steelers are now preparing to let go of backup quarterback Mason Rudolph in free agency as Wilson joins forces, leading quarterback Pickett in Pittsburgh.
