However, Aaron Rodgers was not happy with the loss. That might be the reason he refused to exchange jerseys with Love after the game. Yet, they have agreed to do it on a later date.
In the week 8 game, the Steelers QB completed 24 of 36 passes for 219 yards and 2 TDs. But Jordan Love overshadowed him with his mind-blowing performance. He completed 29 of 37 passes for 360 yards and 3 scores. It created a vital difference between the two teams.

Overall, the game was in attention as A-Rod played for the NFC North franchise earlier.
Aaron Rodgers felt Packers treated him wrong
Even during the week, A-Rod had cleared that it was not a revenge game for him. But the NFL insider Tom Pelissero revealed that the veteran felt disrespected ever since the Packers drafted Love in the 2020 NFL Draft. “He felt like from the Jordan Love, the trade up to get Jordan Love and taking him in the draft that from that point on, he had been kind of disrespected,” Pelissero explained.
Back in 2020, Aaron Rodgers said when the Packers traded up to pick No. 26, he thought they were going to choose a receiver. But when he found out they had picked a quarterback, he reached for a bottle of tequila. Rodgers told NFL Media’s Kyle Brandt that he poured himself “about four fingers” of tequila and knew it would be one of those nights when people started calling to ask how he felt.

He said he wasn’t happy about the pick, because he had hoped for a wide receiver to help the team after their 13-3 season and NFC Championship Game loss. Rodgers later admitted that he understood the team’s decision, even if it wasn’t what he wanted. He said the Packers traded up for Love because they liked him and probably wanted him to play one day.
Aaron Rodgers also said he expected the team to move on from him eventually. The moment reminded many fans of Rodgers’ own early career, when the Packers drafted him while Brett Favre was still their quarterback. Rodgers said it was a different time back then when rookies usually sat and learned before playing.
Rodgers also shared that after the draft night, he texted Love to congratulate him. He told him he understood how exciting and difficult that moment could be and that he looked forward to working with him. Now, as rivals, both players still have a good friendship. Before the season, Love and Rodgers also exchanged text messages, wishing each other good luck.
For now, both teams remain atop their respective divisions. But fans expect them to play again in the playoffs.
