It’s been two months since Micah Parsons joined the Green Bay Packers, and life has moved fast for the All-Pro linebacker. But one thing hasn’t changed, he’s yet to pick a permanent place to call home. After his latest clash against Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers, that suddenly became a talking point. Because Rodgers had an offer ready for him.

“He (Aaron Rodgers) was great to play,” Parsons said after the game. “And he told me to buy his house.”

However, Parsons quickly made it clear he wasn’t looking to take the four-time MVP’s offer. Instead, he mentioned that Packers tight end Tucker Kraft might be the one eyeing it.

“Tuck said he might try and look at it… It’s a nice house, but it’s just me right now. That’s why I’m not in an urge to buy anything.”

For context, Rodgers hasn’t actually lived in the Green Bay area since early 2023 after leaving for the Steelers. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Rodgers has tried to pass the house on. Last year, when Jordan Love signed his new contract with the Packers, the veteran QB had made the same pitch to him, too, in the summer of 2024.

“J Love, don’t spend it all in one place, but if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay that’s up for sale.” Rodgers’ four-bedroom, three-bath, 4,012-square-foot abode in Suamico, Wis., is up for sale for reportedly around $424,900. But perhaps, the veteran QB will have to wait for some more time to find his buyer.

Anyway, beyond the real estate talks, Parsons shared more about their on-field battle.

“The one where I was hawking him down I was like this close to getting him. He’s like I heard the crowd (to know to throw it away). That’s some vet (expletive) right there. Cause I’m going, I’m like crowd ‘shh.’ I never even heard other QBs say that.”

He sacked Rodgers once and made the future Hall of Famer sweat in the second half. That fourth-quarter chase-down that forced a throwaway? Vintage Parsons. And for his relentless play, the newest star in Green Bay earned himself a major honor.

Micah Parsons earned the NFC Defensive Player of the Month award

Micah Parsons claimed the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for October after stacking up nine tackles, six quarterback hits, and four sacks across three Green Bay wins. It’s the second time in his career he’s earned the monthly honor, but his first as a Packer.

“He’s been outstanding,” head coach Matt LaFleur said. “All those guys are kind of feeding off one another. Certainly, he gets a lot of attention in regards to protections and a lot of times he’s defeating a chip. Then, they might even slide to him, which opens up opportunities for everybody else.”

So far, Parsons has been a one-man wrecking crew. Through seven games, he’s tallied 17 tackles, a team-high 14 QB hits, and 6½ sacks. Just last week, he took home NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors after torching the Cardinals with five tackles, three sacks, four tackles for loss, and five QB hits.

For that, LaFleur, besides Parsons, also gave props to his staff.

“I do think (defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley) Haf’s done a really good job and D.C. (defensive line coach DeMarcus Covington) of trying to get creative in terms of you’ve seen him rush inside, outside. It does put a little bit of stress on the offense in regards to you’re not quite sure where he’s going to line.”

Parsons is right now leading the league with 44 pressures this season. So yeah, the Packers have found their enforcer. And all eyes are on how he follows this up in the coming weeks.
