The Green Bay Packers won, but the mood around the Packers’ defense felt different. The Bears came into the game ready to test Micah Parsons, and they did it in the ugliest way possible. As Matt LaFleur argued with the refs on the sideline, fans watched Parsons get grabbed and pulled with no whistle. And after the game, Parsons finally let his emotions spill out.

“I’m immune; I just gotta keep fighting through. I mean, that’s been the definition of my career … The rule book is they gotta be in the chest area, and I’m just not getting grabbed in the chest area,” Parsons said as he could not understand how the Chicago offensive line got away with it.

Micah Parsons looked quiet only because Chicago was hanging onto him all night. In reality, he finished with one tackle and two hits on Caleb Williams. However, the tape told a different story, and everyone in the stadium saw it. Chicago did not block him; they wrestled him.

One play in particular fired up the entire stadium. In the fourth quarter, during a crucial drive, Darnell Wright wrapped Parsons around the head and neck. Parsons still bent the edge but got pulled past Williams like he was in a headlock. Williams escaped and hit a big throw for a first down. The reaction inside the bowl was instant rage.

And the highlights added fuel. The NFL posted the highlight online, and it showed Parsons on his knees asking for a flag as Williams threw the ball. He wasn’t the only one confused. After the game, Matt LaFleur carefully expressed his displeasure.

Matt LaFleur called out the referees

While the Packers got the win at Lambeau Field, Matt LaFleur walked into his post-game and addressed the same issue. LaFleur said the word that best described it was “held.” He could not wrap his head around how the Bears kept doing it without a single flag.

“I don’t know. I thought there was one that certainly was questionable, to say the least, but apparently the officials disagreed, so it is what it is, and we’ve just got to continue to fight and try to get to the quarterback.”

He also voiced his frustration during the game. After that, the conversation shifted.

LaFleur added, “I’m not going to get into what we were talking about. Officials, I don’t think their jobs are easy by any stretch; I think it’s a difficult job, but I guess I don’t know what holding is anymore because I thought it was a pretty clear and obvious hold. But I guess I don’t know what that means.”

He tried to stay respectful, but the irritation was there. When asked about another snap, he doubled down. According to LaFleur, Parsons was grabbed, and it should have been penalized.

Sure, Green Bay walked out with a win, but clearly, the man leading the Pack did not love everything happening between the whistles.
