‘The Green Bay Packers’ playoff hopes are hanging by a thread, and that thread is being tested by an injury list that could sideline three key contributors against the Giants. Meanwhile, the Giants have injury problems of their own. With both teams on losing streaks and slipping in the standings, the spotlight now turns to Green Bay and whether those three key names will be available in a game they cannot afford to drop.

The Packers will head into Week 11 with three players listed as questionable, led by rookie wide receiver Matthew Golden. Golden, sidelined last week against the Philadelphia Eagles with a shoulder injury, practiced in a limited capacity this week. If cleared, he could rotate with Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs, mixing snaps between the slot and the outside to keep defenses guessing. In fact, Golden directly addressed the issue on Thursday.
“It just goes back to not being comfortable,” Golden said after Thursday’s practice. “If you do go out there and you’re not comfortable, you might mess up on something, and you never want that. It’s all about being able to put my best foot forward, and you go from there.”

The rookie, who is yet to score a touchdown this season, wasn’t certain he’d see the field but made it clear he won’t risk hurting the Packers’ chances if he’s not ready.
On the other side of the ball, Lukas Van Ness and Savion Williams are both battling foot injuries. Van Ness was enjoying a good start to the season with 11 tackles when he injured himself while sacking Joe Flacco against the Cincinnati Bengals. He has missed the past four games. He practiced in a limited role this week, and head coach Matt LaFleur said he will play if he feels ready.
“If he feels like he can go, we’ll put him out there,” LaFleur said about his situation.

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said DL Lukas Van Ness has practiced in “a very limited fashion” in his first on-field work since his early October foot injury, but he isn’t ruling LVN out.

With limited practice all week, Savion Williams is the last Packers player who remains questionable against the Giants. Even last week, his status was “questionable,” but the rookie played in the game. So far, he has not had the desired impact, having received few opportunities to prove himself.

Meanwhile, cornerback Nate Hobbs is the only confirmed absence for Green Bay. The veteran will miss his second straight game after suffering a knee injury, forcing Keisean Nixon and Carrington Valentine into starting roles. Bo Melton and Kamal Hadden are expected to step in as backups, shoring up the secondary for a challenging matchup against the Giants.
While Green Bay enters Week 11 with key players uncertain, the Giants aren’t in much better shape. Injuries have piled up for New York as well, leaving their depth tested.

Four players ruled out for the Giants ahead of the Packers game
The Giants aren’t in much better shape than the Packers. If anything, their injury woes are worse. Leading the list is rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who exited early in Week 10 against the Bears with a concussion and didn’t practice all week, ruling him out for Sunday. Jaxson has been enjoying a good season, and his absence will be a major blow to New York’s offense.
Evan Neal on the offensive line and wide receiver Darius Slayton are also sidelined with hamstring injuries. Neal hasn’t appeared in a single game this season, and Slayton suffered his setback in the same matchup as Dart, leaving the Giants without key pieces on the line of scrimmage and among their downfield threats.
Chauncey Golston won’t suit up due to a neck injury, marking the fifth consecutive game the Giants will be without a key piece on the defensive line. Outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux is also out with a shoulder injury, missing his first game of the 2025 season.

On top of that, a couple of players remain questionable. Cornerback Paulson Adebo has been limited in practice all week due to a knee issue, while linebacker Bobby Okereke only took part on Friday, leaving their Week 11 availability uncertain.
Both teams enter Week 11 desperate for a win, but the Giants’ struggles run slightly deeper, especially with head coach Brian Daboll fired after Week 10. This will be New York’s first game under interim coach Mike Kafka, making it a very interesting clash.
