Irrespective of how great a QB is, nobody can win the Super Bowl alone. And after their 3rd victory in five years, QB Patrick Mahomes has come out regarding the emotions flying in the game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Two intense conversations marked the Super Bowl. The first one is between the TE Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid. And then Mahomes and WR Rashee Rice too exchanged some heated words. Now, Mahomes has justifications for both!

Kelce and Reid clashed in the second quarter when the Chiefs were down 3-0. The 34-year-old did not agree with the game plans and let his head coach know about it. The argument between Mahomes and Rice occurred after the end of regulation time and before the OT.

Mahomes option of a field goal dissatisfied Rice as he could have simply passed him the ball and won the Super Bowl. Both were heated conversations, and both ended amicably with the victory at hand. And Mahomes shares the secret sauce for this combination.

“We can let our emotions show and then we can reel it right back in and be better for it.”, said Mahomes on ESPN. The 3X Super Bowl MVP clarified the lack of ego within the unit, as he said, “It takes a special group of guys and that’s what we have in Kansas City”, said Mahomes. The group at the Chiefs is certainly special, but so is Mahomes and he proved it by this drive in the big game.

The Chiefs have won three Super Bowls in 5 years. And all of those victories have been comebacks, led by Mahomes himself. And the 75-yard drive that led to this comeback Super Bowl win was awesome!

This 75-yard drive started from the Chiefs’ half, ending with a touchdown thrown by Mahomes and delivered by WR Mecole Hardman. It consisted of 13 plays, instituted from short throws to deep ones and rushes by Mahomes. The QB has firmly cemented his legacy.
