“Obviously, it’s something we don’t want to happen… You just have to learn from it.” That’s how Patrick Mahomes responded when his younger brother Jackson danced near a roped-off memorial for Sean Taylor during a Washington game. It was a PR blitz Patrick didn’t expect to face, but the franchise QB handled it like a pro. He stood by his family while acknowledging the misstep. But those are just younger brother antics. Yet fans have noticed something curious—Jackson seemed to have celebrated his big day without the presence of older brother Patrick.

Jackson Mahomes—TikTok star with 1.1 million followers—just turned 25. He blew out his birthday candles in a small family affair. The celebration was intimate: his mom, Randi, and sister Mia by his side, all smiles. Randi posted two photos that capture Jackson’s joy and her pride. In one, they’re clutching ping-pong paddles and beaming. In the other, Mia joins in, along with their family dog swaddled like a baby, cradled lovingly by Randi. Her caption read: “Happy Birthday to my son @jacksonmahomes! ❤️ You bring so much joy, laughter, and energy to our family. Keep shining and chasing your dreams. I love you endlessly!”

Brittany Mahomes, Jackson’s sister-in-law, also made sure to show some love. She reshared a picture on Instagram originally posted by Jackson himself, featuring her, Jackson, and Miranda Hogue, wife of Summit Hogue, a college teammate of Patrick at Texas Tech. The caption read, “Happy Birthdayyyyy!!! @jacksonmahomes.” The photo gave birthday energy with familiar faces and a nod to their tight-knit crew.

From Instagram stories to TikTok reposts, Jackson’s birthday got the full internet rollout. The love poured in from followers and family alike. But one name, noticeably absent from the timeline? Patrick Mahomes. No post or mention at all. For someone who’s often had his name trending alongside Jackson, whether for support or damage control, the silence was loud.

Although Patrick hasn’t taken to social media to wish his brother, he has been quite the busy bee.

What is Patrick Mahomes up to?

Patrick Mahomes has been spotted at plenty of social events lately. He’s stepping in as a host, a brand-builder, and even a golf ambassador. Sure, he’s already etched in NFL history as the face of the Chiefs dynasty. But these days, he’s looking beyond the pocket—into a different kind of green.

His love for golf has become more than just a hobby. It’s personal now. Mahomes recently hosted his 15 and the Mahomies Foundation golf tournament at the prestigious Shadow Creek Golf Course in Las Vegas. That same course just saw another unexpected Chiefs connection. Korn Ferry Tour golfer Ross Steelman popped up wearing a Chiefs hat throughout his tournaments. That’s not all as Patrick shared a story originally posted by tennis player Jack Sock. The tag? “Shadow Creek Golf Course.” Also in the mix: former USC and NFL QB Matt Leinart, who appeared to be part of the invite list.

While the Chiefs hat might’ve just been a quiet nod to KC, fans can’t help but speculate. Mahomes’ presence in the golf world is growing fast. If he catches wind of Steelman repping the Chiefs brand on tour, a future collab wouldn’t be a stretch. A sponsorship? Totally possible. Mahomes’ reach isn’t just big—it’s strategic.

Meanwhile, back in the football world, the Chiefs just wrapped up rookie camp. The sessions included all seven of their draft picks, 16 undrafted free agents, 60 rookie tryout players, two veteran tryouts, and two current roster players—quarterback Chris Oladokun and offensive tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick. With camp behind them, all eyes now shift to July, when the official training camp kicks off.

So while Mahomes fine-tunes his off-field playbook, the Chiefs keep moving. Building a golf legacy. Hosting high-profile charity events. Scouting fresh business angles. Patrick Mahomes is expanding his playbook off the field. And while he does that, the Kansas City machine keeps humming in the background. It’s all part of the long game.
