Pat Mahomes’s take is fair, given the Chiefs’ performance this season, especially against the Ravens. The team’s defense played exceptionally well, thanks to defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s strategic mindset. They efficiently disrupted Lamar Jackson’s performance. The Chief’s army created turnovers at significant moments. Furthermore, Mahomes’ tremendous effort in covering 241 yards and completing 30 out of 39 passes played a substantial role in locking the win.

Like Tinesha, 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan also acknowledged the threat from Patrick Mahomes.

Shanahan’s players are locked in a 2020 rematch against the Chiefs. During that showdown, the Chiefs came up with flying colors. But things are different this time, as the team has their star quarterback, Brock Purdy, who etched his name in the MVP discussion. He is the third youngest quarterback to start the Super Bowl. Besides that, Christian McCaffrey emerged as a prolific player in the NFC Championship round by scoring two rushing TDs in the second half.
