With 54 receptions in 616 yards and 6 touchdowns in only 6 games, Puka Nacua, the Los Angeles Rams’ star wide receiver, was on his way to beat Calvin Johnson‘s record of most receiving yards (1964) in a single season (2012). But he suffered an ankle injury in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. He had two catches for 28 yards in that game, but got hurt while going for a catch in the second quarter. Now, his status is in doubt. Nacua did not practice during Week 7.

Head coach Sean McVay earlier said the team would monitor him day-to-day, and early scans showed nothing serious or long-term. However, it was unclear if he would be fully ready for the Rams’ next game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The final injury report lists him as ‘unspecified.’ Now, it’s official. Puka Nacua will miss Week 7.

Nacua also scored 1 rushing touchdown in 3 carries for 52 yards. But the Rams decided Puka Nacua didn’t recover in time. In his absence, Davante Adams, the veteran star, will be their WR1. In six games, he’s caught 26 passes on 55 targets for 396 yards and three touchdowns. He’s averaging 15.2 yards per catch, showing that he’s still a deep-ball threat.
To reduce travel stress, the team practiced in Baltimore before flying to London. But there are other injuries too.

The Rams are managing several key injuries heading into the weekend. Wide receiver Tutu Atwell is dealing with an injured hamstring, and his status is currently unspecified. The speedy wideout has logged 18 catches on 23 targets for 155 yards and three touchdowns through six games.
Running back Blake Corum returned to full practice after missing time with an ankle injury and is expected to play. Linebacker Omar Speights worked through an ankle issue and was a full participant by week’s end, while edge rusher Josaiah Stewart returned from illness.
Tight end Colby Parkinson cleared concussion protocol and will be available. Offensive lineman Rob Havenstein is dealing with an ankle injury and is officially listed as out. Tight end Tyler Higbee and linebackers Byron Young and Alaric Jackson are all on rest lists, and their participation is also unspecified.
Both teams come into the game with a 4-2 record. Even the Jaguars are dealing with major injuries.

Liam Coen set to miss two key players
The Jacksonville Jaguars’ tight end Quintin Morris and linebacker Devin Lloyd have both been ruled out for the game. Morris is dealing with a groin injury, while Lloyd is sidelined with a calf issue. The team had already ruled them out earlier in the week, and neither player made the trip to London. Head coach Liam Coen will deeply feel their absence during the week 7 battle.
Lloyd has been one of the biggest playmakers for the Jacksonville Jaguars this season. Through six games, he has recorded 28 total tackles (16 solo) with 2 tackles for loss, 4 passes defended, and an incredible 4 interceptions. His biggest moment of the year came against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he made one of the most dramatic plays in Jaguars history.
On a game-deciding play, Lloyd picked off a pass and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown, setting a team record for the longest defensive touchdown ever scored by a Jacksonville player. It sealed the Jaguars’ first win over the Chiefs since 2009, ending an eight-game losing streak against them.
Morris hasn’t caught any passes or run any yards, but his 3-year experience would be handy. There’s good news for Liam Coen as well. Wide receiver Dyami Brown practiced fully throughout the week while dealing with a shoulder issue, and safety Eric Murray was limited by a neck injury but participated in all sessions. Defensive end Travon Walker participated fully all week despite a wrist injury and is expected to be available.
Center Robert Hainsey is back after missing the week 6 game due to a hamstring injury, though his game status remains unspecified. Hainsey is a top-notch blocker, giving up just four pressures over 186 pass-blocking snaps this season. He ranks fifth among all NFL centers in pass-blocking efficiency and 14th in run-blocking grade. As the center, he also calls protections and keeps the offensive line organized, making him a key part of the Jaguars’ offense.
The injuries have played spoilsport for both teams. Nonetheless, the game will definitely light up London.
