On Monday, a special event called a total solar eclipse happened in certain parts of the United States. What’s special about these eclipses are that they are not common and don’t happen often in the U.S. Hence, it was an enriching experience for the people, including the Mahomes family.

The renowned Real estate agent shared the post with a caption saying, “TOTAL ECLIPSE 2024! Besides Randi, her elder son Patrick Mahomes and his family were also seen enjoying separately with their kids.

Sterling is happy to see the moon!

Patrick Mahomes and his family spent time together watching the solar eclipse. His wife, Brittany Mahomes, shared videos on Instagram of her, Patrick and their kids observing the eclipse. In one clip, Patrick held her 3-year-old, Sterling Skye, as they both wear protective glasses to look at the sky. In the video, Sterling could be heard saying, “I see the moon,” when Brittany asked her “Sterling what do you see?” from behind the camera.

Meanwhile, their 1 and half year old Bronze could be seen uninterested in the eclipse, as he was adorably playing with a broom on the floor, and also shooting a three-pointer. Brittany also joked that their dogs aren’t watching the eclipse because they won’t wear sunglasses. In another shared video on IG, the quarterback could be seen rushing to shield Sterling’s eye from the sunlight when she tried to look without her glasses. Hence, for the Mahomes’ kids, it was their first total solar eclipse since their 2021 (Sterling) and 2022 (Bronze) births, and might be the first experience for the Mahomes entire family as well.

During this eclipse, for a few minutes, the moon completely covered the sun, making it dark during the daytime. As this natural phenomena is not common, the last time one was visible in the country was in 2017, and the next one won’t be until 2044. The first total solar eclipse that was recorded happened in 1778, just a few years after the U.S. became a country.
