Authorities are currently seeking Kansas City Chiefs’ standout wide receiver Rashee Rice for questioning in relation to a traffic collision that took place on Saturday evening in Dallas. The inquiry stems from a vehicle, purportedly registered or leased to Rice, being implicated in the incident which occurred in the northeast sector of Dallas shortly after 6 p.m.

It has been disclosed that the accident led to at least one individual likely being admitted to the hospital, with further updates on their condition yet to be released. A document from the police department accessed by the publication further corroborates the ongoing search for Rice in connection to this event.

Details surrounding the nature of the crash or potential injuries sustained remain unavailable, with law enforcement officials maintaining a level of confidentiality regarding the investigation’s specifics. As of Sunday morning, the extent of Rice’s involvement and potential legal repercussions are still being determined, with no record of his detention appearing in the Dallas County jail logs up to 7 a.m. ET.

Rice, who was selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft by the Chiefs, quickly rose to prominence within the team, notably contributing to their Super Bowl victory. His performance throughout his rookie year, particularly in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers where he secured six receptions, underscored his pivotal role in the team’s championship win.

Dallas Native claims to have witnessed the accident unfold

A Redditor by the username Genunus claimed to have been driving by the location of the accident and watched it unfold before their eyes. Apparently, “A corvette and a Porsche were racing/road raging and they collided”. The incident unfolded as the Porsche aggressively maneuvered along the left shoulder while the Corvette was seen weaving through traffic. The two vehicles ultimately clashed in their attempt to occupy the left lane, resulting in a significant crash that involved at least three, possibly four, other cars.

Fortunately, despite the severity of the accident, no vehicles were overturned, and initial observations suggest that there were no fatal injuries among those involved. However, the recklessness of the two drivers has not only caused substantial damage but also disrupted the day for several other motorists caught in the aftermath of their irresponsible actions.
Other Redditors rushed to the comments section to express their concern. u/Roadrunnr61 said, “Glad you are okay.” and u/sumacbabe echoed the same sentiment and said, “Glad you did not get hit in this.” However, the user also added that the recklessness of the drivers could have put the lives of so many at risk. “Imagine minding your own business trying to get somewhere on a Saturday night and two entitled jerks put you/your family at risk of dying…this sounds awful. “ On X as well, users prayed for the well-being of the person who had likely been hospitalized after the crash. @manunitedpit said, “Prayers for everyone involved,” hoping that it was not a case of hit-and-run.
