Though he had three TDs to his name, the sacking made the Ravens lose a good 55 yards. The Lions also responded quickly to Mark Andrews’ TD with a touchdown pass from Jared Goff.

Jahmyr Gibbs whose TD put them ahead of the Ravens 28-21. Baltimore’s defense was not something they would be proud of.  They could not even sack Goff. This loss ends their streak of 57 consecutive games with at least one sack. Ravens also struggled the most in the fourth quarter. With just two minutes left in the game, David Montgomery, Lions’ RB, made a stunning 31-yard TD that just crippled the Ravens. They had no time to finish the game. Which makes you think, how could Baltimore have approached the game differently? HC Harbaugh says it has something to do with their “good run defense.”

John Harbaugh believes the Ravens need to do better

Right from the start, the Lions played like their life depended on this game. They played while making sure that their offensive line played a crucial role, giving Jared Goff enough time to execute passes. His 4th down throw to

St. Brown was another medal crowning Detroit. Their defense focused on containing Lamar Jackson. HC John Harbaugh was upfront about the loss, as he was clear during an interview on what the Ravens could have done better.

After the game, one of the interviewers asked the HC what he thought was the biggest problem. His reply was simple:

“Our guys fought. But we didn’t do the things we needed to do to win the game.” Adding on, he said, “Our biggest problem is we didn’t play good run defense… that’s not who we are.” But Harbaugh is a man with ambition, as he set the priorities straight ahead are “going to be toward Kansas City.”

The two teams will face off at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, September 28. With the loss to the Lions, the Ravens need to make a comeback. They are currently 1-2 on the season. As for the Chiefs, they need it now more than ever. They had a tumultuous start to this season with back-to-back losses in two games, and a win over the Giants that ended their losing streak.
