Ari Meirov retweeted a video with another video hosting the caption, “Here’s the other angle of the ref tripping and Lamar having to navigate through him as well. This is rough.” The video shows Lamar Jackson in possession of the ball, facing a blitz. To save himself, he starts pedaling back and so does the referee.

The official then trips while being out of Lamar Jackson’s view. As he was running, trying to save himself, Jackson tripped because of the referee and threw the ball away. Unfortunately, the referee is part of the play and his interfering by accident is of no consequence to the play.

Despite Lamar Jackson being charged with intentional grounding, the Ravens were able to find their groove. They took the lead when Gus Edwards made a 1-yard TD run. The game is particularly going bad for Brock Purdy, who has thrown 3 interceptions so far, changing the course of the game. However, the 49ers are doing an exceptional job of covering Brock Purdy’s blemishes as well. Fred Warner blocked Jackson’s pass just when the 49ers needed it the most.
