Kicking off the season with a win always feels good, something the Denver Broncos haven’t done in the last two years. But this time around, Sean Payton and his squad are determined to change that. In Week 1, they’ll likely go up against rookie quarterback Cam Ward and the Tennessee Titans. So, while the matchup brings some excitement, the real question is how Payton will navigate a fresh start in a season that’s already looking tough, especially after a major decision from Roger Goodell that could shake things up for Denver.

The Broncos’ 2025 schedule is out, and yeah, it feels like a bit of a grind this time. Last year, they had it easy with the NFC South, cruising to a 4-0 record and blowing teams out. This season? They’re up against the NFC East, home of the Super Bowl-winning Eagles and the rising Washington Commanders. That’s no joke. But there is something else too, which raised eyebrows for the schedule.

According to reporter Mike Klis on X, “Broncos are the first team west of the Mississippi to not have a bye week following a game overseas. There have been 19 other teams who played the week after an overseas game, but those teams either returned to the Eastern (16) or Midwest (3) Time Zones.”

That brutal travel stretch-flying to London to face the Jets, then turning right around to play the Giants with no bye in between. That’s rough. Still, it’s not like they’re going up against the early ’90s Cowboys or Niners back-to-back. However, at least a bye week would have helped Sean Payton’s team to rest up and prepare.

Nevertheless, Denver gets nine home games this time, which helps. So yeah, the road’s bumpier, but there’s no reason Sean Payton and team shouldn’t be eyeing the playoffs again. So, what’s the NFL regular season schedule for them?
