NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell is keeping an eye on everything ahead of the playoffs, including the LA wildfires. Over the last 24 hours, it has forced many to flee the area, worrying everyone. The SoFi Stadium lies in the range of these wildfires. So, the football world is concerned about the safety of the community and the stadium. This has become problematic for the LA Rams ahead of the playoffs who practice there.

The Rams even have a wildcard game against the Vikings on January 13. The league confirmed their contingency plan in case the situation didn’t normalize. He revealed that the Vikings-Rams playoff game will be played in the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
However, he added, “We continue to prepare to play the Vikings-Rams game as scheduled Monday night at SoFi Stadium.” So, everything will be decided at the last moment. The NFL and NFLPA are closely monitoring the situation. However, no one, including Roger Goodell, wants the game relocated.

The open roof design of the stadium can’t stop smoke from flowing in, affecting players and fans alike. It has a canopy-style roof that stops sun and rain but has open sides. Several other events in the area have already been canceled. NHS canceled the Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings game. Several news outlets have closed their studios.
Being the home stadium of the LA Rams, it’s a big jolt to the franchise. But for now, everyone is concerned about the 30,000 people who have been evacuated. The NFL is closely monitoring the situation.

After Roger Goodell shares concerns, Rams’ players also came out to help
In their official statement, the league expressed worries for the community and thanked the responders for helping everyone stay safe. It wrote, “The NFL’s priority is the safety of the Los Angeles community. We are grateful for the tireless efforts of the first responders.” Roger Goodell received a similar response from the players in the league.

Rams’ rookie WR Puka Nacua tweeted, “Thank you to all of the first responders! God bless the families impacted!” That’s right. The raging fires have turned everything into ashes. His teammate Cooper Kupp also posted a similar tweet thanking the responders and firefighters and requesting everyone to stay strong.
In October 2003, a regular season game between the San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins was shifted to Tempe, Arizona because of wildfires. The Chargers lost it 10-26. Can the Rams hold the Vikings? Both teams lost the last game of the regular season.
