To celebrate the Steelers’ grand win, Wilson, 34, re-shared their post. “Great team win!!”, he mentioned in his post caption, showing his devotion to the team. Not only this, the proud NFL pro-bowler also applauded Steelers RB Najee Harris’s performance. During this game, Najee turned many heads, finishing with 14 carries for 106 YRDs. Russell also encouraged him with a cheeky caption. He mentioned “Naj” in his post caption by adding multiple firing emojis.

Besides this, the Super Bowl champion also could not forget to praise Donte Jackson. The NFL cornerback’s performance was also truly impactful in the week 6 victory. He amazingly intercepted Aidan O’Connell, the Raiders QB’s pass in the game. Russell also appreciated his other teammate and placekicker, Chris Boswell’s outstanding field goal attempts. He recorded 4 field goal attempts with extra points attempts. Thus, Wilson addressed him as “BOS!!” in his IG story post caption.

Clearly, Wilson’s appreciation showcased his undying devotion to the Steelers. Seemingly, he does not care about his position as QB1 when it comes to supporting his teammates.

And, shockingly, his appreciation came when Justin Fields’ QB1 Status was over-hyped after the Week 6 win over the Raiders.

Justin Fields’ QB1 status hyped over Wilson

Undoubtedly, ex-Seattle Seahawks, Wilson, is the Steelers’ designated QB1. However, he did not play his first match because of the injury. Amidst this, Justin Fields has continued to showcase his dominance as the Steelers starting QB. During Week 6, Fields rocked with his incredible performance.

Fields finished the game with 14 of 24 passes for 145 yards. He also recorded 11 carries for 59 yards with three sacks. However, he did not score any touchdowns or interceptions. By adding 2 scores, he contributed to the team’s 32-13 victory against the Raiders. Thus, he led the Steelers to a 3-2 record. NFL experts and fans are hyping him as the Steelers’ QB1 over Wilson. “Justin Fields looks like a man wholly uninterested in giving up the starting job,” one of the Steelers fans wrote.

But, Fields’ hype as QB1 status has not affected Wilson. And, as he has showcased his loyalty to the team, Russell continues to impress his fans.
