After ending her engagement with rapper Future in 2014, Ciara met Wilson at a college basketball game. The couple were at Wisconsin University to watch the game. The date was 26th March 2015. And Wilson celebrated this special date in their lives with a special story posted on his Instagram account.

In the story, Ciara can be seen holding a bouquet of red balloons, which are almost touching the ceiling. She smiles and looks at Wilson, who’s behind the camera and the red-colored heart-shaped balloons take up much of the space.

“Day we met”, wrote Wilson in the story. However, he isn’t the only one who celebrated this special day in their lives. As wife Ciara also took to social media to profess her love for the former Denver Broncos man on her Instagram.

Ciara Wilson remembers the day too

“The day that we met…9 years ago & forever one of the best days of my life. I love you so much (Russell Wilson)”, she posted on Instagram along with a picture of the same bouquet. Even though they’re always in the public eye, the couple find time for themselves and their ventures.

And both of those collide when they’re working for the Seattle Sounders. The MLS club has been jointly owned by the Wilson among others since 2019. Russell and Ciara are also partners in another successful venture, in the form of a production company. ‘Why Not You Productions’ owned by the Wilson couple brings them together as well in their mission of creating impact through storytelling.
