With the threat of being fired hanging on his neck, HC Dennis Allen handles the situation with poise.
Though the Saints still have a slight chance of making it to the playoffs, their performance against the Los Angeles Rams doesn’t inspire confidence. The 30-22 loss on the road has been blamed on the 51-year-old HC Allen and his aggressive calling. But Allen steps out with a positive message.

“The biggest thing is we’ve got two divisional games left to play. So, our focus is going to be on trying to win those two divisional games and then we’ll let everything play out from there”, said Allen on his unique situation to the media at the press conference.

As Allen stated, both games are against their divisional rivals in the NFC South. So the good news is that the games are against the teams that HC Allen and the Saints squad know very well. But the bad news is their previous meetings with these teams earlier this season resulted in losses.

The Saints take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this week. In their Week 4 matchup, the Bucs came out on top at the Saints’ home ground, winning by 26-9. The Saints then face their other divisional foe, the Atlanta Falcons, for the last game of the regular season.
This game also didn’t turn out in the Saints’ favor. They lost 15-24 against the Falcons on the road. But now, for the best chance to make it to the playoffs, HC Allen and his team must win these two games.
