Chase Young has been traded to the 49ers. The squad, which technically stands 2nd in the NFC West division standings, lost three games consecutively whereas. Another fan commented “Niners and Jags” that along with the 49ers, the Jaguars made the best move for trading Ezra Cleveland.

The decision to welcome an athlete like Chase Young seemingly comes as a response to the recent injury suffered by Kirk Cousin. Not to mention, address their pass rush issues.

Chase Young has been playing the final year of his rookie contract. He made his debut in 2020 after playing college football at Ohio State, where he hailed as the best NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year of the season. The 49ers may have acquired Young at a reasonable cost (considering his lingering concerns from a season-ending ACL injury), but it does resolve their pass rush issue. I’m not really pressing right now about the lack of production because I feel like it’s going to come.”
