The Cleveland Browns’ quarterback situation is still far from being resolved. After Deshaun Watson was ruled out for the season with a ruptured Achilles, his backups repeatedly failed to meet expectations. The team’s attempt to move forward with Dillon Gabriel also fell short due to inconsistent performance and physical setbacks. Now, Shedeur Sanders appears ready with a plan of his own, which he revealed after being named the starter.

Ahead of the Browns’ Week 10 game against the New York Jets, Shedeur Sanders appeared in an engaging video alongside Ray Lewis. After earning the starter slot amid the ongoing troubles with Dillon Gabriel, the 23-year-old looked up to Lewis’ pre-game celebrations, making it clear that this is how he’s gonna celebrate if he lands the shots right.
“Last week, I looked up your video of your pregame dance, and I sent it in the group chat. I was like, because my back was hurt, so you know I got a shot. So then I said, act like this is how I’m going to feel after I get the shot,” he told Lewis while sharing a cheeky handshake.

Regarding the Browns’ quarterback situation, Sanders’ chances to start for the Cleveland Browns rose when the team’s offense kept struggling and both Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel failed to produce strong results. However, despite the window opening for Sanders, coach Kevin Stefanski made it clear that Sanders is not yet the focus for the starting job. Still, Sanders appears to be optimistic about the opportunity, as reflected by his recent preparation schedule.

Shedeur Sanders keenly awaits the starter opportunity amid Gabriel’s ongoing issues
Shedeur Sanders is eagerly waiting for the golden chance amid the speculations surrounding his starter position. People close to him say he is fully focused and working hard every day. The 23-year-old’s preparation schedule includes studying extra game film and practicing with top players like Amari Cooper. Sanders knows that his opportunity could come at any moment, and he wants to be ready when it does.
The Browns’ offense has not been consistent this season, especially on third downs and in the red zone. These are areas where Sanders was strong in college because of his accuracy and good field vision. With Dillon Gabriel struggling and his status still uncertain, the team may need a change soon. Sanders, as a backup, could be the spark the Browns need to get back on track.

If Sanders is named the starter against the Jets, it will not be an easy first game. The Jets have one of the best defenses in the league and allow very few passing yards. Their star cornerback, Sauce Gardner, is known for shutting down quarterbacks. However, with the Browns’ playoff hopes fading, head coach Kevin Stefanski is likely to give the rookie a shot.
