Baltimore Ravens will bring different challenges for both teams. The Ravens (1-4) will be in desperate need of a victory at home. While the Rams haven’t played since 2nd October, since suffering a tough 26-23 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, they will surely look to bounce back from it. And luck’s with them as they are healthier than the Ravens, who are still dealing with injuries.

The Week 6 injury report shows that the

already-struggling Ravens will face more hurdles down the road. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has been ruled out for a second straight game because of his hamstring injury, which he suffered in week 4 in a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Apart from him, five other players have been ruled out from Sunday’s action- cornerback Chidobe Awuzie (hamstring), fullback Patrick Ricard (calf), inside linebacker Roquan Smith (hamstring), wide receiver Devontez Walker (oblique), and offensive tackle Emery Jones Jr. (shoulder).

Amidst the ever-growing list of ruled out players, there is some good news for the Ravens as well. Ravens have a bye in week 7, which will give

Lamar Jackson enough time to rest, increasing the possibility of him returning in the week 8 game against the Chicago Bears.

Also,

Kyle Hamilton (groin), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf), and left tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle), are expected to play the Sunday game after missing the week 5 game. Hamilton’s and Humphrey’s return will give a big defensive boost to the Ravens’ defense, which currently ranks No. 31 in pass defense.

Hamilton was limited to the Wednesday practice session due to his groin issue and was then upgraded to full participation on Thursday’s injury report. Also, Humphrey participated for the first time in this Thursday’s practice session after being ruled out for week 5 because of his calf injury.

One more player to keep tabs on this Sunday will be wide receiver

Zay Flowers. After being limited in both Wednesday and Thursday practice sessions, he has been put on the questionable list against the Sunday night game against the Rams. Why does his availability deserve a special mention? He is tied for eighth in the NFL with 377 receiving yards.

Although the Ravens are on the back foot after six players have been ruled out for the next game, they’re certainly not the only ones who’ve taken a hit.

The Rams are also dealing with injury issues

Wide Receiver

Tutu Atwell, who injured his hamstring during Thursday’s practice session, has been listed as questionable before the game against the Ravens. Rams’ HC Sean McVay gave an update regarding Atwell. “We’ll see how he responds. The initial reports were good, but you can’t be smart enough with a soft tissue like that.” McVay said.

But there is also some positive news in the Rams’ offense room. Tight end

Colby Parkinson was placed on concussion protocol after he hit his head on the corner route in the red zone during the week 5 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. But according to McVay, Parkinson has cleared the concussion protocol. The team has included him on the questionable list to ensure he feels as well as possible.

Both the Ravens and the Rams will be stepping on the gridiron with key players missing from their rosters. But even with more injuries, the Ravens still have a chance to avoid a fourth consecutive loss.
