Aaron Rodgers creates history in Dublin

The Steelers initially appeared to be the more confident side. Due to running back Jaylen Warren‘s knee injury, Kenneth Gainwell took over and scored for Pittsburgh first. In a short touchdown run, he powered in a 7-3 lead for the Steelers.

But the Steeler gave something amazing to the Dublin audience to be cheerful about. A spectacular 80-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to DK Metcalf was his next move. Metcalf took the pass at the 35-yard line, turned on the gas, and left the Vikings defenders behind to the end zone.

Before Metcalf got to the goal line, Rodgers was already celebrating as he lifted his arms to the crowd’s delight. With that synergy, the Steelers’ lead was deepened to 14-3, and their early game strength was made visible.

This was a historic moment in itself. Rodgers’ touchdown pass to Metcalf gave him the record for the most career 50-yard completions in NFL history, moving past Drew Brees. In Dublin, Rodgers not only led his team but also carved his name deeper into NFL history, and this time, he looked like he was truly savoring every second.

Meanwhile, Rodgers was on a roll as he threw exactly 9 passes for a total of 145 yards at this moment. After Gainwell’s one-yard rushing touchdown for Pittsburgh, the Steelers scored their second touchdown in the game and thus were on fire for the first three drives.

On the Vikings’ side, QB Carson Wentz was sharp as well, completing all seven of his passes for 71 yards. However, Minnesota couldn’t finish its drives the same way Pittsburgh did.
