With Mike Tomlin’s future under intense scrutiny, the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ massive Week 14 win against the Baltimore Ravens has silenced his doubters, who were questioning his future in the league. “We’re really not worried about the outside noise. We know what we got in this room, and we know what kind of coach we have. So we’ll just really focus on getting this W and coming in the trap and taking it over,” Porter said. “We’re just happy and on to the next.”
Porter’s unshakable confidence in Tomlin is enough to know the locker room’s belief in their head coach. Yes, the Steelers have not played to their potential in the last few games, winning only two of the last five, but Tomlin and his team are not ready to give up just yet.

As for the game, it was an all-around performance by the black and gold in Week 14. Receiver DK Metcalf couldn’t score but caught seven passes for 148 yards. Linebacker Alex Highsmith made seven solo tackles and also sacked the quarterback Lamar Jackson once to stop the opposing plays.
Though everyone in the locker room, including quarterback Aaron Rodgers, defended Mike Tomlin during last week’s turmoil, they had a much more aggressive demeanor this week. That helped them win the game and also silenced the critics.

Aaron Rodgers defends Mike Tomlin again
After last week’s loss, Rodgers openly said that he was satisfied with the coaches and requested his teammates to take more accountability for the poor showing. So when they won, he was all smiles during the press conference. When asked about the victory after a week of negativity fueled by fans demanding Mike Tomlin’s departure, he gave a short but befitting reply.

“Means maybe you guys will shut the hell up for a week,” Rodgers said.
The last three weeks have been mixed for the veteran as well. He missed the Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears with a wrist injury. Last week, after their loss to the Buffalo Bills, he wasn’t pleased, as critics also questioned if he could take them over the finish line.

Against the Ravens, Rodgers completed 23 of 34 passes for 284 passing yards and one touchdown. The best part about the Week 14 game was that he avoided interceptions and sacks. It helped them keep the ball for longer drives. Currently at 7-6, the Steelers will now head to Acrisure for their second-last home game against the Miami Dolphins.
