That deal is ice-cold! Stefon Diggs just made jaws drop with a staggering three-year, multimillion-dollar deal with Drake Maye’s New England Patriots! And to top it off, his hilarious SpongeBob SquarePants reaction to the massive contract had fans in stitches. But while the star wide receiver was locking in his future with the Patriots, his former Houston Texans teammate dropped a cryptic three-word reaction.

Tank Dell, C.J. Stroud’s teammate, posted an Instagram story featuring the breaking news about Diggs’ deal. His overlay text? “On da floor.” Safe to say that he’s hyped to see his former teammate secure the bag! Interestingly, this contract is just shy of the $72 million rookie deal Diggs signed with the Vikings back in the day. Tank Dell, Stefon Diggs, and C.J. Stroud played together for the Houston Texans. Diggs was in Houston for just one year, but the bond he created with Dell and Stroud is amazing.

And not just today—after Stefon Diggs’s ACL injury, Tank Dell was also hurt. Back then, when he learned that Diggs wouldn’t return after the injury, he said, “Once you lose one of your star players, everybody’s got to step up. Even if you are one of the star players, you still have to step up and do more and produce more.” Though this quote was originally about the injury, it perfectly describes what might be going on in Tank Dell’s mind right now.

It was also a sigh of relief for C.J. Stroud after he learned about Diggs’s new contract. If you check C.J.’s Instagram stories, he shared the Pats’ social media post about landing Stefon while reacting with a high-five emoji. This massive contract might just give Stefon wings to fly even higher in the upcoming season.

Stefon Diggs got what he deserved with the Patriots

A few hours ago, everyone might have thought Stefon’s future with the Patriots was just a rumor. But then came a bombshell from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The NFL insider shook the football world with his post on X: “Free-agent WR Stefon Diggs reached an agreement on a three-year, $69 million deal, including $26 million guaranteed, with the New England Patriots.” After this tweet, both the Patriots and Diggs made sure to update fans on the contract news.

With this move, the Patriots will be the third team in Diggs’s 10-year NFL career. He was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Before this contract, he had massive deals with the Texans and the Bills. With C.J. Stroud’s team, he signed a one-year, $22,520,000 deal. Before that, Diggs had a four-year, $96,000,000 contract with the Bills. But this new one with the Patriots is special. The franchise believes in the WR’s abilities despite his recent injury.

According to a report, there’s no need to worry about Stefon’s torn ACL, as he is running at full speed at practice. He injured his right knee in the October 27 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. Later, it was diagnosed as an ACL tear.
