From the time pop star Cardi B said “The internet is insane,” in response to rumors of her dating New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, the couple has come a long way. They made their public debut in February at a Valentine’s Day party in Miami. Followed by Cardi B posting a slideshow of her and Diggs’ pictures on a yacht, officially confirming their relationship in June. It’s been seven months since the singer made her relationship with Diggy public, and yet the spotlight is shifting again, as she now appears to have something even more exciting to reveal.

On Wednesday, during her appearance on CBS Mornings, Cardi B casually announced her first pregnancy (4th overall) with the NFL star. “I’m excited, I’m happy, I feel like I’m in a good space.” The announcement was soon followed by congratulatory messages from friends and family. Digg’s sponsorship post on Instagram was quickly turned into a congratulatory party by fans. And now, it looks like he has given another reason for the fans to flood his comment section. Recently, on Cardi B’s Instagram post, Stefon Diggs teased fans with an idea for a baby name. 

Cardi’s Instagram post captioned “It’s ready to bang!!!” was accompanied by Digg’s comment, “Thinking of Spanish names right now”. Although they haven’t confirmed the baby’s name yet, it looks like the couple is already thinking about it and has a couple of ideas in mind. Diggs’s mention of a possible Spanish name may stem from Cardi B’s connection to the Spanish language. She is bilingual and has been seen speaking fluent Spanish on several occasions. 

The pop-star once said that her mother speaks English, but her father, who is a Dominican, primarily speaks Spanish, and that’s how she learnt the language. So, it looks like Diggs has all these aspects and connections of the Spanish language to Cardi in mind when he commented on her post.  The post highlighted Cardi talking about her new album and tour announcement, but then shifted to discussing her pregnancy, baby, and new journey with Stefon Diggs. 

“What’s popping you all, I had a day today. But anyways, I am just getting to remind you all that my album comes out September 19th. It’s gonna be on all platforms.” This is how Cardi B’s Instagram post video started. After talking about her new album “Am I The Drama?,”  she went on to talk about her new tour, “Little Miss Drama.”

Then, later in the video, she also addressed her pregnancy. “I am happy, my man is happy, I am very excited. I am very excited for this chapter in my life.” It seems Cardi B is transitioning smoothly into the new chapter of her life with Offset and is looking forward to giving her 100% to her new album release and tour. This comes after Cardi B’s announcement that her baby would arrive in February. Regarding the challenges, Cardi B earlier said on CBS, “I’m very ready, even when I’m pregnant, I’m very ready.”

Steffon Diggs reacts to pregnancy announcement 

“Oh, my personal life? I told you about that. We don’t talk too much about my personal life. But I heard about that,” The response came with a smile from the Patriots’ wide receiver. The reporters then asked about “any celebrations that we’ll see?”, referencing the pregnancy news. To this, Diggs simply replied with a “we will see.” 

Stefon Diggs has never liked discussing his personal life. Even after signing a 3-year deal worth up to $69 million with the Patriots, he didn’t talk to the media much. Another instance of him not discussing his personal life came up after a video of him partying on a boat over Memorial Day weekend was made public. Shortly after the video was released, Diggs had commented, “I have a thing where I [don’t] talk about my personal life with people I don’t know personally.”

Even with Diggs already involved in a very crucial NFL season and Cardi B gearing up for an upcoming tour, the couple seems to be well-prepared for the new chapter. Most importantly, Cardi says they’re happy—and she’s ready to deal with the challenges that lie ahead.
