The Kansas City Chiefs will be facing the New England Patriots as their next challengers. After a series of defeats, the Chiefs are looking forward to clinching the victory. In this crucial regular-season phase, one more defeat could put a dent in the Chiefs’ playoff aspirations. On the other hand, the Patriots bagged a series of losses throughout the season.

However, the Chiefs will have to put their best game forward, but the Chiefs’ camp is dealing with injuries. Along with the victory, the Chiefs face a challenge to navigate through the injuries.  

The teams struggling with injuries

The week-15 injury stats highlight the injuries in both the Chiefs and Patriots’ teams. the running back Isiah Pacheco is suffering a shoulder injury, making him unavailable for the upcoming playoff. The offensive line is also dealing with injuries, with Donovan Smith’s neck injury. Moreover, the Chiefs’ linebacker Leo Chenal battled an illness earlier in the week. Despite these setbacks, players like Nick Bolton and Justin Reid overcame their injuries and made themselves available for the crucial game.

The Patriots are also facing injuries of their key players. Running back, Rhamondre Stevenson was ruled out due to an ankle injury. Defensive lineman Christian Barmore is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury. Wide receivers DeVante Parker, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and Trent Brown, the offensive tackle, are all labeled as questionable for the game.

The Chiefs are boasting eight victories and five defeats in the season so far, whereas; the Patriots are down with ten defeats and three victories. In this crucial playoff for the Chiefs, the Patriots are going to host the Chiefs at their home turf, Gillette Stadium. However, both these teams are struggling with their offense facet. But the Patriots offense showed promise in their previous playoffs against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The quarterback Bailey Zappe scored three touchdowns and led his team to the victory. Moreover, the Chiefs lost four of their last six games, making them rethink their strategies.
