America’s most decorated gymnast doesn’t like decorating her hot dogs! Well, for those of you wondering, Simone Biles won her tenth Olympic medal in Paris. But, now, the internet seemed to have turned attention towards her eating habits. Or rather, the lack of it. Well, if she’s going to post a picture of a ‘naked’ hot dog, people are going to notice. And this Super Bowl XLVI champ called it “un-American” to eat the ‘glizzy’ without so much of a hint of condiments on it.

Speaking on ESPN’s UnSportsmanlike Radio, on the 5th of August, former NFL DT Chris Canty hilariously called shots at Simone Biles. “Anytime anybody eats a ‘naked’ hot dog, like nothing on it, no condiments, no accouterments, nothing, I got to look at you with a little bit of a side-eye. That’s a problem.”

Apparently, while Simone Biles was busy flaunting her gold medals from Paris and treated herself with a celebratory meal on Instagram. On Sunday, the 7-time Olympic gold medalist gymnast posted an Instagram Story featuring a meal of two hot dogs, two servings of fries, and a cup of ketchup. She hilariously captioned it, “If there’s a glizzy, I’ll find it.” We can say she’s got an eye for gold medals and hot dogs. Or better, hot dogs WITHOUT condiments!

“You just got a bun and dog. That’s a problem.” That’s when host Evan Cohen interrupted.

“Let’s be clear. Michelle Smallmon and Chris Canty, after three gold medals in Paris and ten overall at 27 years old, and literally, the face of the country in sports right now, now critiquing Simone Biles.”

Canty wasn’t one to keep silent. He reverted, “I will say this. With all the gold medals that she has, it is un-American to not have anything on a d*mn hot dog. I feel we should rescind the medals. No, I’m telling you need to go to somebody. If you don’t have anything on them, nothing on the hot dog, Come on, dawg. You know that’s strange. Come on now […] Now, hey, if that’s what it takes in order to win all the gold medals she got, then I understand the tradeoff. But it’s a little bit strange. I can’t get on board with it.”

But Simone Biles isn’t the only athlete with quirky eating habits. Imagine Chris’s reaction to discovering the Chiefs’ 3-time Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes’ obsession with ketchup! Just like a clutch player on a game-winning drive, Mahomes has his favorite condiment ready to score a taste touchdown every time.

Patrick Mahomes’ ketchup obsession became a part of his personal branding

Patrick Mahomes is a player who’s known for his greatness on gridiron as well as his off-the-field strange habits. For starters, who can forget his ‘nasty’ superstition? The one where he has worn the same red underwear since his rookie season! It seems the champ must do what he can to keep up with his winning streak. But what about the ketchup obsession? He loves it on “everything” as one of his post captions on social media reads.

Back in July 2019, just months after Pat broke the headlines following a humongous 2018 season as the starter for Kansas, the Chiefs’ star QB revealed his secret love for the red condiment. He was the reigning MVP at the time when he told InsideHook, “It’s weird. When I get BBQ from the barbecue joint, I eat it with the barbecue sauce when I’m at the place. But if I get it to go, I’ll put ketchup on it. I don’t know why. That’s kind of how I’ve always been.” Loves ketchup on his food, and is saucy on the gridiron. Ahh! There can be a connection that can be drawn here.

However, there’s a connection between Ketchup and him getting close to KC’s owner Clark Hunt. Hunt’s ketchup brand approached Mahomes to be their brand ambassador back in December 2018, and he gladly accepted. For a QB who’s a self-proclaimed ketchup connoisseur, saying no wasn’t even on the menu!

Well, we might continue to see Mahomes with his ketchup obsession and Biles dining on more bland hot dogs. But we have a question for you: What gave you more ick? Simone Biles’ naked hot dog, or Patrick Mahomes’ ketchup obsession?
