On Sunday, February 11, Las Vegas will host the Super Bowl, America’s most prominent sports event on the calendar. Country singer Reba McEntire will be on the center stage to begin this event and make fans proud. Known as the Queen of Country, McEntire will start the much-awaited production with her national anthem rendition.

Now, when all the eyes lay on the Fancy singer over her prominent presence, here’s who has captured the 68-year-old’s heart away from the spotlight.

A long, 30-year wait

Reba McEntire has had, among many things, multiple relationships throughout her nearly half-century career. Two of these have also extended to result in marriage. However, it wasn’t until 2020 that the country icon found her significant other: actor Rex Linn. McEntire and Linn first met when working on The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw in 1991. That framed the basis of a wonderful friendship; however, that was the extent of it for many years. Ultimately, when Reba encountered the loss of her mother in 2020, and Linn reached out to comfort, the spark rekindled between the two stars.

“Had a fantastic dinner with this Oklahoma girl. Tater Tots and Ketchup included,” Linn wrote, sharing their first image together. In the following days, they grew close over quarantine, went on a double date, attended the Oscars together, and later starred as spouses on Big Sky. The time together had the two head over heels for each other, as often iterated by Reba McEntire.

“Every day is Valentine’s Day for us. We’re just silly, goofy people in our 60s that love life [and] love each other,” she told People. “We have fun. We’re dorky, goofy, and we have similar interests in just about everything, so it’s just fun all the time.” So knee-deep into the relationship, Reba McEntire has even hinted at wanting to marry Rex Linn. If that were to happen, the country icon would enter her third marriage.

In 1976, Reba McEntire entered her first marriage with Charlie Battles, which lasted through 1987. Following that, McEntire married her manager, Narvel Blackstock, in 1989. Though the marriage ended in 2015, the two have stayed close since because they shared 26 years of marriage and a son.

Then, from 2017 to 2019, she dated Anthony “Skeeter” Lasuzzo. The two shared numerous doting moments before separating over a busy schedule. “I just want everybody to be happy in their lives because our lives are too short to be miserable,” she said following her divorce, and now she awaits Linn’s decision on marriage.
