The average price for a Super Bowl ticket last year was somewhere around $6k in ballpark figures. These exorbitant prices are due to the location of the game. Las Vegas is a mecca of entertainment and the NFL decided to capitalize on the opportunity.
“Location has always impacted demand for a Super Bowl, but Vegas takes things to a whole other level,” said the co-CEO of Tick Pick to AP and added, “It’s already the entertainment capital of the world, and could very well become the sports capital of the world after the Super Bowl.”
People who think that the ticket prices will go down might have to wait 1 more year to finally book a ticket, because, by the looks of it, the resellers are not going to pass on the opportunity to exploit the sales.
Will this Super Bowl live up to the hype?
