Can cheerleaders and players talk on or off the field?

Cheerleaders in the NFL must always stand and move around on the field or at events. They are strictly prohibited from having personal, private, or social relationships with players, meaning no dating, talking, chatting on social media, or physical contact. Violating these rules can lead to fines, or in the worst-case scenario, they can lose their jobs.

That’s not all; some teams even require the cheerleaders to block all players on social media. It is also said that if a player happens to be in the same restaurant or bar, she has no choice but to leave to adhere to these guidelines.

Additionally, tattoos and piercings are also not allowed, with some teams even checking their bodies before a game to ensure the rules are followed. Further, if the cheerleaders gain weight, it might lead to suspension. No smoking, drinking, or eating allowed when in uniforms. They are also not permitted to use slang, give opinions, or complain about anything. They also have to buy their team’s calendars and 100 copies to sell in the market to create a bond between the team and their fans.
