The 13-3 Baltimore Ravens are going against the 9-7 Pittsburgh Steelers and things have taken a negative turn for the Pittsburgh team. The Steelers’ star linebacker TJ Watt has taken a hit and was slow to get up. The sad thing is that it didn’t even happen at an opposing player’s hands.

Dov Kleiman and James Palmer made some tweets in the wake of this injury, and they have taken the NFL community by storm. All we can say is Watt has taken a hit at a very crucial time, a time when the Steelers needed him the most. Earlier, his status of returning to the field remained unclear, but now matters look more grave for the Pittsburgh team.

TJ Watt took a hit from his teammate, Montravius Adams, who bumped into him on Ravens’ possession. Watt was visibly in pain and was seen pounding the ground when he went down. He was in the medical tent for a while but as it is declared now, he won’t be returning to the field because of an injured knee.

Before leaving the field, Watt had 2 sacks and 2 QB hits to his name and is currently leading the NFL board in these stats. Despite all this happening, the Steelers have pressured the Ravens into giving them a comfortable lead so they can think about their next move in the absence of their star LB at ease.

The Ravens haven’t had a lot of possession time yet and it doesn’t seem like the Steelers are keen to let that change anytime soon. But what will happen when the Steelers lose possession and it’s Ravens’ turn to run the ball? While all the other teams were blown away by the Ravens, the Steelers did a pretty good job of holding their place, exerting dominance over Lamar Jackson-less Ravens.

The LB had 2 sacks in the game already. So, his absence is a clear indication that the Steelers would be required to go the extra mile in these challenging situations. The game is a must-win for the Steelers, while the Ravens are the first seed in the AFC and already have a berth in the playoffs.

It’s 4 quarter right now and the Ravens are one touchdown away from leveling the field. Seems like the absence of Lamar Jackson and Odell Beckham Jr. has affected the team’s scoring ability majorly. The Steelers are leading at 17-10 and the only thing they must do to win against the Ravens is to hold them off.

The Steelers initially had two TD’s, one from a 6-yard run from Najee Harris and the other one was a stellar 71-yard TD pass from Mason Rudolph to Diontae Johnson. Now, things look to take an interesting turn in the last quarter, as the Ravens try to find some solace from the game in the absence of their star QB.

One take at a time

Basketball has stuck with me ever since I was a kid. I remember watching Kobe Bryant sometime in 2008 and being blown away. Like every kid my age, I was utterly taken aback by his moves and abilities as an athlete.
