The couple welcomed their second child this week. T.J. Watt’s wife, Dani, was among the many fellow Steeler wives and fans who celebrated the news.
“Can’t wait to squeeze you both! So proud and happy for you 💙,” Dani commented under the post.
Casey shared the announcement on Instagram alongside her husband, giving the world a glimpse at their adorable addition to their family.
“When 3 became 4 🩵🙏🏻. Our son Drew Jarrett (DJ) Holcomb born on September 23rd weighing 9lbs & 1oz + 22 inches long. Thank you, God, for wrapping his arms around us through uncertain moments. Feeling beyond blessed for this beautiful little family. Morgan is already the best big sister,” Casey wrote in the caption.
The reply carries a little more meaning, because Dani and T.J. Watt are also expecting their second child. Earlier this September, a former soccer player, shared maternity photos on Instagram with T.J. and their daughter, Blakely Marie, who was born in March 2025.
The two women also share backgrounds in high-level sports. Dani and Casey are both former elite athletes, with Dani having played soccer at the University of Wisconsin before going pro with the Chicago Red Stars and Icelandic club Þróttur Reykjavík. Casey played field hockey at the University of North Carolina and represented Team USA.
The two are also gameday buddies, as they often attend games to support their husbands.
Casey and Cole both attended North Carolina, where their relationship grew. They got engaged in 2021, married in 2022, and welcomed their first child in 2024.
Fans flooded the comments with their own well-wishes once the news spread. One commenter focused on the sweetness of the moment itself.
“Congrats, Casey! He’s beautiful! Boys love their mamas so much 🩵🩵”
Another fan kept it simple while praising the family as a whole.
“Congrats Cole, such a beautiful family. 🥰”
A commenter noted the timing of the birth relative to Pittsburgh’s schedule, appreciating that Drew arrived between games.
“Awe congratulations! Glad he came after the game and before the Browns game. Beautiful family, beautiful children 🏈🖤💛❤️ God Bless you all”
One more fan welcomed the newest addition directly into the fold of Steelers supporters.
“Congratulations 💙🩵 The newest member of Steeler Nation is adorable.”
Getting back on the field has been a long process for Cole Holcomb. He went down with a severe knee injury late in the 2023 season during his first year with Pittsburgh, then missed all of 2024. He finally returned in 2025, playing in 14 games and starting three, and later received the Steelers’ Ed Block Courage Award. The honor recognizes a player who shows courage while returning from an injury or life-altering situation.
Holcomb has credited his family directly for helping push him through that long recovery, pointing specifically to the birth of his daughter Morgan back in 2024 as a turning point in his mindset.
“Shoot, I love this game. Also, I just had a kid. They’re counting on you, the wife, and kid,” Holcomb said in January 2025. “That definitely changed the way you think, your outlook.”
With Drew Jarrett now joining Morgan at home, and the Watt family just months away from welcoming their own second child, the Steelers family is going to become a lot more wholesome.
