Much before the start of the 2023 season, Taylor Swift’s name surfaced among potential half-time Super Bowl performers for 2024. Some suggested Swift might decline the offer because of her ongoing Eras Tour. However, in September, the official announcement named Usher was the performer, ending the various celebrity rumors.

As the Super Bowl LVIII has wrapped up with Usher’s allegedly “disappointed” performances, the spotlight shifted to the 2025 event, stirring up rumors about potential half-time show headliners. And once again, Swift emerges as the frontrunner on the list of speculated performers. So, will Tay-Tay perform this time at the Super Bowl LIX half-time Show, especially after the NFL Commissioner’s nod?

Taylor Swift, who was a part of the “maybe this year?” conversation, has at least graced the season with her back-to-back presence for the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce. So, now, rumors suggest that the next time, she might grace the Super Bowl LIX half-time stage. However, it is problematic to say how much truth is there in this rumor right now. One thing is certain; she has become the top prospect on the performer list after her relationship with tight end Kelce. Well, it certainly looks like the next Super Bowl has major plans for the halftime show!

The Super Bowl LIX is scheduled to be played at the Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, on February 5, 2025. According to the Sportsbook review, “Taylor is an early frontrunner.” Despite previous reports of her declining the opportunity, citing a long-term partnership with Coca-Cola, the rival brand to the Super Bowl halftime sponsor, Pepsi, the upcoming Super Bowl in 2025 might be the right occasion for her to take center stage. Also, by November 2024, Tay-Tay will have completed her highly successful Eras Tour, setting the halftime stage prepared for her.

Not only this, the 14-time Grammy winner has already received a green light from the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, at the Super Bowl LVIII opening night.

Roger Goodell indicated a positive result due to the “Taylor Swift Effect!”

On the opening night of the Super Bowl LVIII, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked about the truthfulness of Taylor Swift’s attendance in the NFL games, as many speculated it was a script. Some mentioned the league prepared it to garner attention. The critics also called Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship a part of the script.

However, debunking all the rumors, Goodell clarified, “I don’t think I’m that good [of] a scripter or anybody on our staff. There’s no way that I could have scripted that one. She’s a remarkable performer. She knows great entertainment. I had the opportunity to go to two of her concerts with our girls and my wife. She’s the best of the best. So, having her come to NFL games, [to] have her [be a] part of that is nothing but a positive light.

He added, “She knows great entertainment, and I think that’s why she loves NFL football. I think it’s great to have her a part of it.” Ending his statements in a positive yet enigmatic way, Goodell, as per rumors, might have requested the pop icon to accept the Super Bowl LIX halftime show’s invitation.
