When Tom Brady walked the sidelines of the NFC Championship as a Fox Sports commentator, few knew his offseason would involve shaping the future of one of the NFL’s most polarizing franchises. But that’s exactly what he’s done. From the booth to the boardroom, the seven-time Super Bowl champ isn’t just a figurehead in Vegas—he’s orchestrating a quiet revolution. And just when the dust seemed to settle from a solid draft haul and a string of savvy signings, Brady’s Raiders pulled off another chess move—this time off the field.
A new sunrise may be on the horizon in Las Vegas. With each passing week, Tom Brady’s Raiders continue to make strategic decisions both on and off the field, signaling that this isn’t just a team—it’s a transformation in progress. After installing Pete Carroll as the head coach and signing veteran QB Geno Smith, the Raiders followed up with a highly praised 2025 NFL Draft class, headlined by Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty. But just as that momentum began to cool, Las Vegas made another major move behind the scenes.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on April 30 that the Raiders have appointed Brian Stark as their new assistant GM under John Spytek—a significant hire with long-term implications for the franchise.

Stark’s résumé brings both collegiate and professional heft. Starting his career as a recruiting coordinator at the University of Colorado (1994–98), Stark made his name in the college ranks before transitioning to the NFL. At San Diego State, he held multiple roles—including QB coach, tight ends coach, and recruiting coordinator—before a stint at Yale. In 2012, he joined the Denver Broncos, where he spent 13 seasons as director of college scouting, playing a crucial role in assembling playoff-caliber rosters.
Now, he’s switching sides within the AFC West, bringing his sharp scouting acumen to a divisional rival. The Raiders hope his experience will be a game-changer as they continue reshaping their identity. In addition to Stark’s hiring, Las Vegas brought on Johnathon Stigall as Assistant Director of College Scouting, a veteran in his 27th NFL season.
These additions represent a significant investment in long-term talent evaluation and player development—areas that had fallen behind in previous regimes.

While the front office gets an upgrade, the Raiders haven’t forgotten about roster innovation either. The team continues to embrace the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, a strategy that previously led them to Nigerian defensive lineman David Ebuka Agoha, signed in 2023. However, the Raiders have now moved on from Agoha to make room for another global prospect: 21-year-old Laki Tasi.

Tasi, a former rugby star from Goodna, Australia, played for the Ashgrove GPS Rugby Club in Queensland Premier Rugby Union. Encouraged by a friend in 2022 to transition to football, Tasi entered the NFL’s developmental pipeline through the Asia Pacific Academy and later the IMG Academy in Florida.

Though he went undrafted in 2025, his athletic upside caught the attention of Brady’s team. The Raiders have invited him to join their 90-man offseason roster. According to the franchise’s official announcement: “The 21-year-old played for the Ashgrove GPS Rugby Club of the Queensland Premier Rugby Union before joining the NFL’s International Player Pathway program.” His inclusion marks a continued commitment to global talent development, something Brady, once an underdog himself, clearly values.
