The Super Bowl may have ended, but the drama associated with the matchup continues to make headlines — especially the one related to Travis Kelce. The star tight end often turns emotional when it’s about football. He threw his helmet on the ground when he couldn’t contribute enough to the game against the Raiders. This time, it is about the Chief’s backbone, Andy Reid.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seen yelling at Reid during the Super Bowl. This situation occurred when he was frustrated with the team’s offensive performances and vented his anger on Reid on the sideline. This has sparked enough criticism and speculation, but the heated moment cooled after Andy Reid clarified. But it seemed Pat McAfee had again lit the flame when he directed the question to Patrick Mahomes on his show.

Patrick Mahomes has an explanation for the drama!

Patrick Mahomes joined the hosts on his The Pat McAfee Show to discuss the Super Bowl and his feelings this season. In the middle of the conversation, Pat pointed out the Reid-Kelce drama in the showdown. He said, “You talked about the drama this year. It continued into the Super Bowl. Travis Kelce attacked Andy Reid. He crow hopped and punched him right in the face, just right in the face on the sideline in the middle of the game.”

In this regard, McAfee asked Mahomes if they had a moment of doubt about themselves. Mahomes responded, “Um, I do not think there is a moment of doubt. Um, I definitely think there were some trying times we were trying to battle through adversity, um, but we knew we still could win the AFC, and we always thought we got in the tournament.” He further stated that everyone is getting old, and it’s hard always to bottle up the emotion.

You won’t believe it, but Mahomes also had a major freakout during the Bills game. He yelled at Referee Carl Cheffers and his crew for the duration of the possession, and the Chiefs ended up with no points and three snaps. After the matchup, Mahomes said he was angry about the penalty call because he believed Toney was not on the offside.

And Kelce became “angry” at Andy Reid because of the poor offensive play in the final. Furthermore, he looked like he was pushing Reid because he was angry at Isaiah Pacheco for fumbling with the ball. However, when the reporter asked him about the matter, the head coach seemed unbothered. He said“I wasn’t watching Cheap Shot, but that’s alright.” Reid looked at this act as Kelce’s eagerness to score the touchdown.

On the other hand, this is not the first time Kelce has had an outburst; he freaked out during the matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders this Christmas.

Kelce explained his emotion on the New Heights podcast: “Right now, I’m just not playing my best football, and I gotta lock them in and be more accountable for him (Andy Reid). I gotta keep my cool, man.” He further accepted that he is the leader, and that’s not the way to act. This statement sheds light on the tight ends’ zeal to win. And they did it by winning the Super Bowl LVIII. What are your thoughts on that?
