While Kelce’s stacking bracelets at Taylor Swift concerts, Kayla Nicole’s stacking something else—her voice, her truth, and her power. She’s done being sidelined as “somebody’s ex.” After breaking down on air and revealing the bullying she’s faced from Swifties, saying, “It’s pretty exhausting.” Now she’s taken a different approach—one that amplifies women’s voices and calls out the silence surrounding abuse. But her message isn’t just about her—it’s about every woman who’s been hurt, overlooked, or dismissed.
In a raw and emotional story shared to Instagram, Kayla wrote: “Lifting up every woman impacted by predators, abusers, & those we trusted 2 protect us. If current events are reopening old wounds, it doesn’t mean you’ve lost ur progress. It’s ok 2 feel. Remember the work you’ve done & tap back into those healing steps that help ground you.❤” This wasn’t just a post. It was a lifeline. A nod to the women watching headlines reopen scars they’ve tried to close. Her words weren’t dressed up for likes; they were a mirror to those navigating trauma in a hyper-online world.
She didn’t stop there. In another story, she added: “The media has been draining to say the least, & for survivors of domestic violence, can be significantly triggering. Remember you do not have to watch this egregious content on loop. Log out. It’s not your burden to defend victims against ignorant people using this for RT’s/likes.” She highlights how the constant media consumption is damaging, and survivors don’t owe the internet their peace. Kayla’s tone was protective, like someone who’s been in the fire and doesn’t want others to burn too.

To drive her point home, Kayla shared a snippet from a recent episode of her podcast Welcome to the Pregame, featuring guest Nazanin Mandi. The caption? “Who you’ve been is not all you are. Reinvention isn’t about becoming someone else, it’s about choosing to finally align with your truth. nazaninmandi 💕 Give yourself permission to bloom. 🌱” And with that, Kayla turned the camera back to empowerment. The message? Take back the space and the narrative. Her podcast mixes cultural convo with real talk. It’s a clear signal—she’s not here for fluff. She’s here to shake the table.

“Am I a single mother?” Kayla Nicole opens up
In a moment that felt more intimate than most celebrity podcast reveals, Kayla Nicole peeled back another layer of her reality. This time with a subtle but unmistakable shade at Kansas City Chiefs’ star Travis Kelce. In a recent episode of her podcast Welcome to the Pregame, the 33-year-old spoke candidly about what it’s been like to assume full responsibility for her two pets. She once shared the dogs, Chauncey Gallagher Kelce The First and Rambo with her ex, Travis Kelce. What started as shared joy between two partners has now become a solo mission.

She didn’t sugarcoat it. “I had a dog bill the other day that was 2,000 dollars.” That emergency vet visit hit harder than the invoice—it became a moment of reflection. “Do I have kids, or do I not have kids? Am I a single mother?” she asked aloud, capturing the invisible labor many pet owners shoulder when the responsibility isn’t shared.
Nicole had first introduced Chauncey to the world back in 2017 with a hilariously heartfelt Instagram post: “I would like to formally introduce you all to our son Chauncey Gallagher Kelce The First. He’s a cancer [zodiac sign]. Likes to eat his poop more than food. And loves when you hold him over your shoulder like a 3 month old baby. He bites out of excitement, but doesn’t mean it.” The mother-dog duo has come a long way from those Hallmark-like pictures.

Nicole explained, “I have dogs with the previous partner, and I got both the dogs.” Although she didn’t name-drop, the Kansas City tight end fans are well aware of her previous relationship. That “previous partner,” of course, being Kelce—her longtime, on-again, off-again boyfriend of five years before they split for good in 2022. She claims she took “full responsibility” for the dogs after the breakup, a decision that has since added a new layer of accountability to her daily life.
As much as the internet paints breakups in binaries—sad girl vs. new boo. The real-life consequences don’t always fit that script. And Nicole’s situation is proof of that.
