The Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick was already struggling this season when he sustained an injury during the Cincinnati Bengals game in Week 13. Offensive lineman Walker Little stepped on his leg. He crashed to the ground, and his leg was bent backward awkwardly. It looked like a severe injury, but instead of waiting for a cart to come to the field and take him to the locker room, he walked through the stadium’s tunnel, supported by officials.

He did not forget that incident, and now, a week ahead of Christmas, he has bought all his offensive lineman presents in memory of his “no-cart” incident. What was the special gift?

‘No-cart’ Trevor Lawrence buys golf carts for his O-line

Front Office Sports took to X to share a video of a smiling Trevor Lawrence showing what he had bought as Christmas gifts for his O-line. The entire squad entered the frame, driving E-Z-Go golf carts painted in the Jaguars’ colors. Lawrence said in the video, “I had to treat my boys right. They sacrifice a lot for us and for myself, so I had to do something special for them for Christmas.”

And Lawrence also had to sacrifice a big deal to get them those gifts. While we do not know the exact model, each is supposed to cost at least $10,000, and there are 14 linemen on the team. Only 9 are on the active rosters, 3 are on the practice squad, and 2 are on injured reserve. The entire purchase would have set Lawrence back by six figures.

Two NFL players who have gifted their teammates expensive stuff

Tom Brady, the GOAT of football with his 7 Super Bowl championships, was never one to run behind fat paychecks. To thank him for what he had done for the New England Patriots, the owning Kraft family put up billboards that read, “Thank you, Brady.” In 2008, Brady gifted each O-line member a brand-new Audi SUV worth $42,000. The total bill came to over $200,000.

Russell Wilson did not settle for giving his teammates that which would depreciate with time when he was with the Seattle Seahawks. Instead, he wanted to give them something whose value would only grow with time. The QB gave each offensive lineman $12,000 worth of Amazon stock. The 13-member O-line cost him $156,000. Speaking about the gesture, he said that he was always on his mind and that their protection “does not go unnoticed and it is never forgotten,” according to Bleacher Report.
