The NFL Scouting Combine will occur from February 26 to March 4, 2024, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. Around 321 players will participate in interviews and medical evaluations at this event. The opportunity may be significant for the invited players and the teams, but some NFL head coaches think the gain isn’t worth the strain.

According to the latest report by ProFootballTalk on X, head coaches like Mike McCarthy, Sean McVay, and Matt LaFleur may skip the Scouting Combine, thinking “it’s a waste of time to attend.” In the league, most NFL coaches traditionally attend the Scouting Combine, a crucial event for evaluating potential players.

However, these coaches, potentially including Kyle Shanahan and Robert Saleh, have opted not to attend. Per reports, some NFL head coaches think the Scouting Combine is not worth their time. They argue that since the workouts are recorded and virtual interviews can be conducted, they do not have to attend in person.

The NFL Scouting Combine is among the best opportunities for aspiring football players. To impress franchises in the interview, the specific time and date for each day’s on-field workouts begins on February 29, at 3 p.m. for defensive linemen and linebackers.
The events will continue on March 1 at 3 p.m. ET for defensive backs and tight ends; on March 2 at 1 p.m. ET for quarterbacks, wide receivers, and running backs; and on March 3 at 1 p.m. for offensive linemen.
