In 2016, Tyreek Hill turned heads as a rookie with his insane speed and burst. He hit 23.24 mph on one play, a number that still holds the NFL record. 7 years later, in 2023, he was still blazing past defenders at over 21 mph. No wonder he calls himself “Cheetah” on social media. After all, this nickname fits like a glove. But now, there’s a new $10 million personality in the mix, and Tyreek might have real competition, especially after he tried to throw down the challenge to the young star with some disrespect.

Remember last year when YouTuber iShowSpeed, aka Darren Watkins Jr., raced Olympic gold medalist Noah Lyles? He didn’t win, but he held his own and definitely gave him decent competition. One of those watching that race was Tyreek Hill, who is arguably one of the fastest guys in the NFL. Then what? He threw down a challenge of his own – race him for $100,000. The challenge was that if Hill wins, the money goes straight to his foundation.

Watkins Jr. took the challenge seriously. He even showed up at the Dolphins‘ training camp ready to race. “If you beat me, I won’t say anything. You got it, what I’m saying?” he told Hill. So, when Hill asked if he was joking, Speed made it clear – he wasn’t. That’s when Hill suddenly ran off, leaving the $10 million star shaking his head, saying, “He’s scared!” Is he, though? Because later on Saturday, when another content creator asked Hill about it, the Miami wide receiver doubled down, saying, “He’s scared. Speed’s scared.

Hill claimed Speed’s the one who’s scared to race, but let’s not forget, it was Hill who ran off during that training camp face-off. Still, fans are hyped to see these two finally go head-to-head. And let’s be real, Speed isn’t exactly known for backing down from anything. Calling him “scared” is like saying water’s not wet. Hopefully, this time, Hill doesn’t dip out, and we finally get to see who’s really the fastest on the field.

iShowSpeed has clocked in at around 11 miles per hour, not bad for an amateur. Sure, it’s nowhere near Olympic level, but when it comes to racing Tyreek Hill, anything could happen. He might surprise us… or not. Time will tell. For now, Hill’s got another challenger lined up, someone who already earned the title of the fastest man in the Olympics.

It all started when Dolphins WR Hill joked that Lyles was too scared to race him in 40 meters. At that moment, Lyles fired back, saying 100 meters would be a “blowout.” That back-and-forth didn’t stop. From contracts to TV interviews, it’s been heating up for months. But the moment things really took off was when Lyles won the 60-meter race at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix, then held up a sign that read, “Tyreek could never.” That jab hit hard.

The eight-time Pro Bowler clapped back on X, writing, “Get a load of this guy.” So, now, no more talking, and no more signs. Just two of the arguably fastest guys in sports settling it on the track, with starting blocks, reaction timers, and a crowd ready to explode. So, who are you taking a risk with: Tyreek Hill or Noah Lyles?
