The NFL might have found its fastest wide receiver in the ongoing NFL combine right now! Xavier Worthy has achieved such a feat that arguably even the fastest ball carrier and the best quarterback in the league currently would be eager at the thought of having this guy on their side. Undoubtedly, we are hinting toward Tyreek Hill and Patrick Mahomes, who could not help but comment on the achievement of their young colleague.

The former Super Bowl championship teammates came forth on social media and lauded Xavier as he ended up being the fastest man in the NFL scouting combine, courtesy of his final time. While Worthy now takes the top spot on the 40-yard dash list, the numbers following him are an astonishing example of the speed the NFL has gotten to witness at all times.

Xavier Worthy’s astonishing record stuns the NFL greats!

Xavier Worthy ran the fastest 40-yard dash in the history of the NFL Scouting Combine. Per Stacey Dales and a lot of other sources, he officially did it in 4.21 seconds. He did it in 4.25 seconds in his first attempt but came out with the best timing of 4.21 seconds in the end. Seems like Patrick Mahomes is also watching the combine closely as he quickly posted “4.25… crazzyyyy” on X, expressing his shock looking at the number put up by the 20-year-old. He rectified it later by adding, my bad 4.22…” adding three laughing emojis to the seemingly absurd number to highlight his utter astonishment and praise.

In the wake of this once-in-a-lifetime attempt, Tyreek Hill couldn’t stay back from showing support. His post on X said, “4.2 is crazy sheesh”. In doing this run in a record-breaking time, Xavier Worthy has now crossed even John Ross in the honorable list. “If you feel like you can do it, just do it,” said the WR to Stacey Dales, who caught hold of the WR after his dash. We could also see the Raiders HC Antonio Pierce rooting for the WR and watching him closely.

What’s surprising about all of this is Tyreek Hill, who is hailed as the fastest WR in the league, didn’t deliver the same numbers during his turn and isn’t even in the top 10 in terms of fastest WRs in NFL Combine’s history.

Here’s what the NFL Combine’s 40-yard dash leaderboard looks like

To put everything in perspective, Tyreek Hill’s Combine time was 4.29 seconds. Per a post from Adam Schefter, Xavier Worthy is now the top prospect with 4.21 seconds dash time. John Ross did it in 4.22 seconds! Kalen Barnes covered the same in 4.23 seconds. Then comes Chris Johnson with his 4.24 seconds, followed by Tareeq Woolen and Dri Archer, both standing at 4.26 seconds.

Marquis Goodwin, Henry Ruggs III, and Stanford Rout completed the dash in 4.27 seconds. By the looks of it, the Atlanta Falcons, the Buffalo Bills, the Carolina Panthers, the Houston Texans, and the Kansas City Chiefs are some of the teams that are in dire need of a wide receiver right now. But these are just a couple of teams currently under the focus, who knows where the leaderboard topper Xavier Worthy will land?
