The ‘Cheetah’ revealed that he found inadequate space in the “brand space” of his former team. Hill further candidly pointed out that most of the Chiefs’ attention was dominated by the quarterback Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce. He expressed that he wishes to leave a legacy after he retires, and it was not possible to do so in his former home.
“You’re looking into getting into, like, the whole brand space,” said Hill. “because the brand space in KC is already taken over. Let’s be real, Pat Kelsey, they- already took that over… so you got to look at it as an aspect of okay, while you’re playing, and then after you done playing is there, you know, a certain area of space that you would like to take up and I was like yeah like this is Miami is perfect.”
While highlighting his experience at the Chiefs as a team member, Tyreek Hill also did not shy away from mentioning how he felt left out from the duo of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes. He evidently commented on the close relationship between the QB and TE, and feeling jealous of not sharing the same bond.

When Hill expressed about feeling like the “side chick”
This is not the first time when Hill talked about his former teammates, though. On the RG3 and The One’s podcast, he joked about how he was “jealous” of Mahomes and Kelce. The wide receiver said that he was not appreciated enough during his time in Kansas City. Hill had compared the position to being a “side chick,” perpetually considered in line after their star quarterback. This treatment didn’t sit right with Hill.
“Pat had Kelce, and I was kinda jealous,” Hill said. “I was hurt. Patrick, you ain’t never invite me over to your house like you did Kelce. You always invited Kelce. That’s why we’re here where we at now….I’ve never been anybody’s side chick before, never. Always, my whole life, high school, middle school, all the quarterback’s main chick. I go to KC; now I’m the side chick.”
