What started as a fun throwback turned sideways real quick. The NFL released the 2025 schedule for the teams. Like others, the Indianapolis Colts tried to be clever with their 2025 schedule reveal. They dropped a Minecraft-themed video to tap into that old-school gamer vibe. At first, fans were on board, as it felt light and playful. But then came the scene, including Tyreek Hill, that changed everything.
In that spoof video, a pixelated dolphin, wearing a Tyreek Hill (no.10) jersey, gets intercepted by a Coast Guard boat. The moment that was supposed to be funny hit the internet hard, and not in a good way. People didn’t laugh. They saw it as a dig at Hill’s past legal troubles, and suddenly the joke wasn’t so innocent. This entire incident was observed by the Miami Dolphins’ star as well, who didn’t waste time responding to it.
On Thursday, Tyreek Hill fired back in classic Cheetah style. He posted a video on his official X account, showing himself watching the Colts’ spoof. Sitting at his laptop, Hill checked out the clip, stood up with a smirk, dusted off his hands, and walked away like a boss. The video had a savage overlay: “Colts social team posting their schedule release video without any approval.” But what really got fans buzzing was the caption he dropped with it – “The only W the Colts got.”

Since Indy faces Miami in Week 1, their social team tried to troll Hill early. It clearly didn’t land well. However, if we go back to Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus’ comment, he clearly stated that the WR didn’t take the Colts‘ post seriously and that he thought it was funny. He said after seeing the video, Hill “laughed about it.”
Nevertheless, the game’s set for September 7, and if this energy carries over, it’s gonna be fireworks. Until then, the Colts decided to make an official apology!
The Colts accepted their mistake on Tyreek Hill’s spoof video!
The Colts dropped a creative, lighthearted video to reveal their schedule, using a Minecraft-inspired theme. In one part, a dolphin wearing a No. 10 jersey, clearly a nod to Tyreek Hill, gets stopped by a Colts Coast Guard boat. Then, in the next slide, Denver’s mascot Bucky stands tall on a game pyramid, which they have a game against in Week 2. However, the Colts’ horse climbed up and knocked off Denver’s horse. While the video aimed for laughs, Hill’s clip stirred controversy. Because of his past legal issues, some viewers felt it crossed a line.
What’s your perspective on:
Did the Colts' social team cross the line, or was Tyreek Hill's response over the top?

The backlash was strong enough that the Colts deleted the video. They even publicly apologized, saying it “exceeded our rights with Microsoft and included an insensitive clip involving Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill.” For context, Microsoft owns Minecraft.
Still, Hill didn’t seem bothered. He responded on X with, “Should’ve left it up @Colts, this was funny.” But for some fans, it didn’t land the same way; they saw it as more of a personal attack than a joke on Hill using a Microsoft game.
