Thomas was arrested on a charge of simple battery and criminal mischief toward a construction worker. He was arrested around 7 p.m. ET by Kenner Police. Lt. Mark McCormick, who is heading the investigation, said the altercation involved Michael Thomas and a construction worker building a house in the same neighborhood.

Apparently, Thomas started yelling at the construction worker because he parked his truck in front of his house, blocking him. Reportedly, Thomas threatened to harm the worker. When the victim pulled out his phone to record the altercation, Thomas reportedly got upset and decided to throw a brick at the windshield of the victim’s truck. He then allegedly shoved him. Also, he knocked the phone out of his hand because Thomas didn’t want to be recorded.

Hopefully, the WR and the victim will hash everything out, and things will return to normal. As far as his professional career is concerned in 2023, he has scored just a single touchdown in the season and has made 38 receptions this season with 439 yards to his name, averaging at 11.6. The team is going hot right now, and it would be preferable for them to avoid any kind of distraction.
