As the setback came, the Chiefs didn’t miss a second. Patrick Mahomes put on a show, showing everyone the level of Aura he has. He has thrown for 320 yards and three touchdowns, including a strike to Travis Kelce, who racked up 84 yards on eight catches. Kareem Hunt powered through with a 1-yard rushing touchdown to keep the offense rolling, Which is iconic as a 1-yard 1-touchdown. while Harrison Butker added two crucial field goals to the scoreboard.
The defense as well brought the heat. George Karlaftis delivered a key sack, and Trent McDuffie snagged an interception, keeping the Steelers’ offense in check.
While losing Isiah Pacheco is a tough break for the Chiefs, their 15-1 record shows they’re still a powerhouse. They will adjust without him, and with Mahomes and a stacked team, it’s going to take more than an injury to slow them down.
Steelers Struggles
The Steelers entered the game with a 10-5 record and fought hard, but their injuries took a major toll. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. was sidelined due to a knee injury, and wide receiver Ben Skowronek missed the game with a hip injury. It’s like missing 2 pillars in the team. During the matchup, defensive lineman Cameron Heyward suffered a right lower-body injury, which made the game even more challenging for Pittsburgh. Their efforts against the Chiefs were futile.
But even with these key losses, Russell Wilson didn’t back down, finding Pat Freiermuth for some solid gains, including a clutch 7-catch, 60-yard performance. Still, the Steelers’ offense struggled to find the end zone, and talk about bad luck. Joey Porter Jr. was sidelined with a knee injury, making Pittsburgh’s comeback even tougher.
The Steelers didn’t get the W, but they are still in the Playoffs and we can still see them play and maybe even pay back the Chiefs as well.
