What is Braxton Berrios’ ethnicity?

My dad’s from Miami. He met my mom in North Carolina. That’s why I was born there and raised there.” It explains his birthplace being Raleigh. But there’s a surprise, as his paternal grandfather belonged to Puerto Rico. However, he isn’t like a typical person of Puerto Rican ethnicity. The biggest difference is in the language he speaks.

The Caribbean island has people who mostly speak Spanish. But the WR never got a chance to learn it. There was no parental pressure as his father himself never learned the language. So he never spoke Spanish at home with his parents and other family members. Though Braxton Berrios studied Spanish in school, he never got fluent in it. But he has always been proud of his roots.

In 2015 NFL Draft, the Oakland Raiders drafted his Miami Hurricanes teammate Jon Feliciano. Happy with this, he couldn’t stop himself from congratulating him and wrote on X, “My Puerto Rican brother! Always been there to hold me up! @MongoFeliciano You deserve it all!” That’s lovely. The pride in his family ties reflects in his attitude. Whenever he is playing or meeting with his fans, he is cheerful, and smiling.
