“A guy like Kevin Austin. You don’t even know who Kevin Austin is,” those were words used by Saints interim head coach Darren Rizzi when Kevin Austin Jr. made his NFL debut against the Falcons in November. Well, it’s been a bumpy ride for Kevin Austin since 2022, when the Jaguars first signed him to the league. But the Jags weren’t convinced with the former Notre Dame receiver. That eventually led to them cutting him off before that season even began.

Now, after that brief period in Jacksonville, Kevin Austin Jr. moved to the UFL. There, he spent 7 months with the Birmingham Stallions, continuing to work on his skills. And that proved to be instrumental as New Orleans came calling to give Austin another chance to show what he was capable of in the NFL.

What is Kevin Austin Jr.’s salary?

Just like those Jacksonville days, Austin Jr’s first few months with the Saints didn’t move in the right direction. Even after spending the whole summer with them, the Saints left him out of their final 53-man roster. Now, judging by the $795,000 contract they gave him on a one-year deal. Austin’s salary didn’t really create a lot of burden for the Saints. However, the moment the Saints started struggling with injuries all over the roster, they realised what they had in Austin Jr. And quickly signed him up for their practice squads.

Finally, Austin’s moment came when his team desperately needed someone to keep their offense going. So, what did Austin do to impress his coaches? Well, the 24-year-old played just 26 snaps and hauled in 2 receptions out of 2 targets for 36 yards in his debut. Even now, Austin is slowly making himself a big part of the New Orleans future. After 17 weeks in the NFL, the Saints WR has 10 receptions to his name for 138 yards.

However, he has yet to score his first TD to show what he is capable of when given a run of opportunities. As for Austin, his contract is nowhere near that lucrative for him to have a plausible net worth like other receivers.

What is thw WR’s net worth?

Right now, it’s different to predict what Kevin Austin’s actual net worth is. Surfing through the internet, you won’t really find any endorsements or partnerships in his name. And judging by the base salary of $220,835, Austin’s net worth would probably be under $1M. With his contract expiring in the summer, that approximate value could also dip further.

But the only positive for Kevin Austin Jr. is that he has shown flashes of his brilliance for whatever opportunities he received in New Orleans. And it could be enough for either the Saints to give him a new contract or any other team to offer something close to what he deserves. Because we have already witnessed what Austin can pull off if given the right opportunities.
