Imagine being a gridiron sensation with Presidential roots dominating the NFL 2024 season – a true powerhouse on and off the field. Don’t know who we are talking about? This is the story of the Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Patrick Paul. Before being picked by the franchise in the second round of the 2024 NFL drafts, Patrick had been through a lot of highs and lows. He worked hard every day of his college football career at the University of Houston. Though born in a well-to-do family, the Dolphins #52 tied up his boat on the coast of America and signed a tempting contract with the franchise.

Where is Patrick Paul from?

The 6’7″ OT was born in Houston, Texas on November 1, 2001. Though born in North America, his ancestors were from Nigeria. Reportedly, the 23-year-old OT still respects his roots and country, apart from criticizing corruption and development in Nigeria. Talking about the country, OT said, “land rich in culture but vastly different from the world I knew,”

In his interview with NFL reporters, he candidly revealed his alternative career aspirations, had he not become a football player. His response was filled with compassion for his people and his determination to eradicate cancerous things from the country.

Paul said, “I want to inspire change. Nigeria is very corrupt. Our money is worth nothing. The country, I believe, just needs reforming. That’s my lifetime goal. I want to go back there and change the country.” He continued, “I want to lead my people and unite the nations that are in Nigeria. So many (developing nations) don’t have so much. I want to rebuild the entire infrastructure. I want to be able to provide jobs, I want to be able to provide good medicine, affordable housing. I just want a change.”
